When Cathie Wood's life starts to crash and burn, she turns to the stars for comfort, only to find them smothered by the ashes of her tragic life. In her fifth year, her brother, Oliver, meets his demise by a badly-aimed bludger to the skull. Everything seems to go downhill from there. She can no longer climb onto a broom without melting down, nor can she look at Hogwarts in the same way.
If things weren't bad enough, the new Defence Against The Dark Arts teacher seems hellbent on making Cathie's life as miserable as she can, along with any other student that was in the DA.
