Chapter 32

Lucy's P.O.V.

I stared up at the night sky, tears glistening in my eyes. Why would he do this to me? Why would he be so cruel, if we were mates? Natsu and I had been having a great time, and then I discovered he had cheated. Recently. Today. I didn't understand what I could have done to drive him to such actions. Now, looking at the three stars that were visible from my position beside the pond, I felt so alone. Natsu was probably still in the cottage, jaw set, ready to rectify the situation- but he couldn't. Not this time. A secret: this made the third time, but the first two times had went unknown. I heard his footsteps before I saw him; rolling on my side to where my back was to him, I plucked blades of grass from the ground, tying them into a knot before tossing them into the glittering black water, illuminated by the New Moon that hung high in the sky.

"Luce, please. Just turn and look at me." He spoke softly in my ear. When did he get THAT close?!

"N-no," I stuttered out. "I don't want to."

"Baby, I'm sorry-"

"This is our honeymoon, and you cheated. CHEATED." I wailed loudly, covering my face with my hands as sobs shook my whole body. "I thought you really loved me."

"I do! More than anything." He said, fiercely, pulling me to his chest after turning me around. My nose ended up burrowed in his abs, as I sniffled. It's SO not fair that he smelt and looked this good- GET A GRIP, LUCY.

"Don't. Touch. Me." I said, trying to jerk away from him. Natsu lifted my chin quickly and pressed his lips onto mine. Pinning me beneath him, he slid on top of me, and dominated my mouth, kissing with such passion that I was breathless. I lifted my left hand slowly, and placed it on his cheek, more tears streaming down my face. Then, I drew it back and smacked him. Hard. He immediately released my lips, grabbed my wrists, and pinned my arms above my head. I squirmed, trying to fight him.

"GET OFF." I cried out, already growing weak. "Please." Natsu shook his head, and kissed my neck.

"Not until you calm down."

"Leave me." I tried to command him.

"Can't we talk about this like adults?"

"This is your fault; not mine." I shouted weakly at him.

"Oh my gods, Lucy," he began. "It was hide-and-seek tag!" I jutted out my quivering bottom lip.

"Yeah, but you scared me." I mumbled. Laughing, he stood and pulled me up, packing me back into the cottage.

"How?"

"You jumped out from behind those trees and screamed ATTACK. What was I supposed to think?" I squealed. Natsu shook his head, pecking my cheek.

"Somehow, I believe you'll forgive me..." and then my legs were around his waist. Don't ask me what happened; I honestly don't know how the night took the turn of events it did, but before I could deny him forgiveness, he was laying me down on our bed, kissing up and down my neck, lingering on my mark. I moaned softly as we got under the covers. Natsu's kiss became desperate.

"Natsu, protection." I gasped as he took off my shirt and kissed my chest. He rubbed circles into my hips, undoing the buttons of my jeans in the process.

"...don't know where I put them," He murmured into my ear. I groaned slightly, pushing him away.

"Then we can't do this." I pulled the sheet up to cover my chest, feeling flushed as I searched for my shirt with my eyes. Natsu sat back, and looked at me for a moment, as I met his eyes. Then, slowly, he took off his vest and scarf, unbuckled his pants, and kicked them off.

"What are you-" He cut me off, shaking his head. Pressing me down onto the bed gently, he tugged off my jeans, running a hand down my bare stomach.

"I want to make love to you, and not worry about what will happen after." Natsu spoke. I felt like I was going to explode.

"But I might get-"

"That is always a possibility." he interrupted. I turned my head away slowly.

"I..."

"We're married. There is nothing stopping us." He said, trying to persuade me.

"If I get pregnant..." I began, not sure what I would say.

"Then we'll be expecting a baby." He finished for me. "I want to try." I gave him a startled look.

"Y-you want to try-?" Smiling softly, Natsu placed a hand on my face, caressing it.

"Yes. I want us to start trying for a baby."

"Now?"

"Now." He moved his hands behind me, unfastened my bra, and slung it behind him. My heart hammered in my throat. Natsu wanted me to get pregnant....this soon into our marriage? The already-showing pregnant Levy returning with Gajeel from their honeymoon flashed like a camera in my mind. Was this the way of Dragon slayers with their mates? I was nervous and scared. Was I ready for this? I closed my eyes. I didn't think I was at the moment. Opening them, I peered up at Natsu, whose eyes were black with desire. I swallowed my fear and doubts quickly, and bit my lip. Even if I didn't feel ready, I knew I would say yes- I wasn't able to deny Natsu of anything, it seemed.

"Will you have my baby?" he asked me when I did not speak. I met his eyes again, and wrapped my arms around his neck, nodding.

"I- yes." We started kissing...
