AN: Before I start this,  a little background. Lisanna tells Lucy about the runaway note she's left at the guild, what it said, and now...

Lucy's P.O.V.

I sat in stunned silence after Lisanna finished recounting how she had told her siblings. Even though I knew she was just recounting what she had said in her note in a moment of weakness, her words were like flesh wounds: when they happen, they hurt, but you know they'll heal sooner or later. I stood from my chair a few minutes later, and wrapped my arms around myself. Natsu pulled me backwards until I rested against his chest, his arms around me, hands on my stomach as if to protect it. I felt a little spark when he touched my stomach, and smiled, feeling a lot better already. I could tell the baby was very happy to have his daddy and mommy close- or at least I assumed he was a boy. According to Gajeel, a dragon slayer's first child is almost always a male.

"There is nothing I can do about what you've said- what you've done, Lisanna." I spoke calmly. "And I can't forgive you for it, either. Not completely." Her face fell, and she nodded.

"I understand," She said in a small voice.

"I'm willing to still try and be your friend, even though we'll never be able to be close like before." I added, more as an afterthought than anything. Her head rose slightly, and she gave me a relieved smile. I suddenly felt very tired. How did it come to be like this? Now, with Lisanna standing in front of me- as a person who had lost my trust. I thought back to the day Natsu told me he was my mate- it felt like a decade ago, even though it had only been a matter of months. Almost a year. And so much had changed. Oh, what can change within a year.

"Off you go. I believe you owe Jet an apology."

"He doesn't know..." she whispered. "He won't want me when he knows." I mentally face-palmed.

"So...you mean to tell me that you took off, ready to run away, knowing you were pregnant and didn't bother to tell the FATHER that you're carrying his child?" Natsu asked, sounding annoyed. Lisanna bit her lip, but nodded. I pointed toward the door.

"Out. You're going to go to the guild and explain to everyone why you've been such a moody b- unpleasant person," I said, my hands twisting around to hold Natsu's.

"I- I can't. I can't face Jet and tell him..." Lisanna sniffled. "I'm scared."

"Yes, you can." Natsu said encouragingly. I looked up at him and smiled. He was so sweet...and beautiful...and kind...and funny....STOP IT, LUCY! I yelled at myself mentally. Hormones dude. Hormones. Lisanna went to shake her head, but I stood a little taller.

"We're coming with you," With that, I released Natsu, and went to the stove. I turned it off, and after putting away the food I'd made, I grabbed my keys and a small button-up pink coat with a white flower in the center of it as a button. Sliding it on and tucking the keys into an inside pocket, I walked back over to Natsu and Lisanna, who were having a silent stare down. I stood on my tiptoes and kissed Natsu on the lips quickly before walking towards the front door. When I opened it, Happy yelped and fell in. I crossed my arms and looked down at him.

"Eavesdropping?" I asked him sarcastically. He immediately flew up into my arms, curling up to me.

"Maybe..." I laughed, and finally heard Natsu and Lisanna coming out of the house. Happy looked from her, to Natsu, to me, then cuddled me again, or more specifically, my stomach.

"Hi there, Nephew. You don't know me yet, but I'm the more epic half of Natsu and Happy-"

"Hey!" Natsu protested, rushing forward and wrapping an arm around my waist. His warmth felt good, paired with the cool Autumn air. "That's my son you're talking to, Happy. Don't make me sound lame."

"....your daddy's secretly an undercover llama." Happy reasoned, patting my stomach with his tail. Lisanna was struggling not to laugh, despite how hilarious this was.

"And your uncle Happy got eaten by a fish." Natsu shot back. I burst into laughter as Happy hissed at Natsu.

"A CAT IS SUPPOSED TO EAT FISH, NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND!" Happy whined. I shifted him into one arm, freeing my right hand to stroke his soft blue fur. My guild mark looked pinker than usual when compared to the blue of Happy's fur...I continued to walk forward. This time, I didn't bother to look back. I had everything I wanted, after all. I had Natsu as my husband, who was also my mate, and I had a baby on the way.

So why did I feel as if everything was about to break?
