Lucy's P.O.V.
In the time of three days, thanks to Natsu taking excellent care of me, I got better. We'd been gone from the guild for close to a month now, but it felt so much longer than that. It was weird to think that in two more months, give or take a few weeks, we'd be back at the guild and wouldn't have this private little universe of ours. I couldn't be sad about it, though. I loved being alone with Natsu, don't get me wrong, but I missed our friends greatly. I missed seeing Gray strip randomly, missed Mira and Happy teasing me about my love life, missed Wendy blushing every time Romeo took her hand in front of others. Missed Gramps drinking- attempting to out-drink Cana, despite the unwritten warning that explained calmly and cautiously that there was NO beating her. I missed out family. I was drawn out of my thoughts when Natsu tapped me on the shoulder. I turned my face up to look at him, and saw that he'd finished showering. One towel was around his shoulders, him drying his hair energetically, the other wrapped around his torso. I grinned up at him.
"Dear, you do understand that you're supposed to...oh...I don't know...dry off before coming out of the bathroom, right?"
"Why?" He asked, sitting down on the bed beside of me. I shrugged.
"Well, for one, you're dripping."
"With good looks?" He asked, winking. I stuck my tongue out at him.
"Yes. Of course. You're a river of hotness." I exaggerated. Natsu smiled cheekily and pecked my lips.
"Thanks. I usually try to get my Plegethon on for you at least once a day."
"The gods can be cruel, only once a day."
"Ah. Aphrodite wouldn't want you to explode with your undying love for me."
"Hmm...so a river of fire in Tartarus is better?"
"What? Is my epic bod hurting your mortal eyes."
"Little bit, little bit." Laughing together, we moved into a cuddling position. Twirling a strand of my hair, he hummed a song under his breath. I peered up at him.
"I love you." I said. Natsu laughed silently, which was totally adorable.
"I kind of figured-" A banging on the door stopped our rejoicing. Natsu immediately stood, pulled on his pants and vest, letting the towels flutter to the floor. I slid out of bed, pulling my pink robe around myself tighter and following. Natsu's face was serious, war-like. He threw open the door, and-
Was greeted by Gray and Juvia, scratched up. Immediately, we stepped aside and let them in. It was raining, now that I was seeing it. How had he and I not noticed that before? Natsu wrapped an arm around my waist, shutting the door and gesturing Gray and Juvia toward a love seat.
"Explain," Natsu said. "Now."
