AN: Time skip ahead...
Lucy's P.O.V.
Six months passed, taking me well into my second trimester. After the first three months, the fear of everything crashing down turned out to simply be nerves. Nothing bad had happened- knock on wood- since then. In fact, life couldn't be better. Lisanna and Jet had taken a leave of absence from the guild after getting married, and were currently off in a different town, where they'd taken residence. They came by the guild less often than before, which was fine by me. I didn't have to worry about her screwing everything up for Natsu and I. Speaking of which, Natsu had been the perfect husband. From staying at my side throughout the whole morning sickness period, to going out of the way to make me feel beautiful when I started feeling insecure. It's not easy to feel pretty when you look down and can't see your feet. My stomach was so large, but Levy explained that it was because I was carrying a dragon slayer. Natsu'd even went as far as to paint my toe nails like scales (they turned out really good somehow) to further implicate this fact. But now, to present time.
I currently sat on the couch, resting my eyes for a bit. I'd been at the guild all afternoon helping Mira plan the baby shower, since she'd insisted that I needed to throw one. How were we supposed to do that when we didn't even know the sex of the baby? I sighed, rubbing my pregnant stomach.
I felt Natsu enter the room, and my eyes snapped open. It was darker outside, from the window- I could tell. How long had I been asleep? When had I fallen asleep? The couch shifted slightly as he sat down beside me. Wordlessly he reached over and lifted my blue maternity blouse up to reveal my tummy. He placed his hand to it, and chuckled as the baby kicked in reply. She/he was really fond of Natsu, and I knew he would be a great father to our child.
"He's strong," Natsu whispered, knowing I was awake. "And big. Our son is gonna be just like me, ya know." I laughed softly, and laid down. Natsu got off the couch, making me groan in protest, until he got on his knees and caressed my tummy again, kissing it and whispering how much he loved our baby, or simply "my boy" and rested his head against it. When I closed my eyes this time, I nearly gasped in surprise. A clear picture was forming in my head now, a small baby- gender unknown- with Natsu's eyes and salmon-colored hair. She/He giggled and played with Natsu's fingers as I patted an almost nonexistent baby bump. The baby- which was now the size of a toddler- was getting more defined, hair growing out longer than before. And she was wearing a blue and white dress. My eyes snapped open, and I vaguely noticed Natsu calling my name as my lips formed a word.
"Nashi," I said in a small voice. "I want the baby's name to be Nashi." My mate laughed humorously.
"Luce, Nashi is a girl's name." I nodded to this, and reached down to take his hands into mine. I told him about what I'd seen when I closed my eyes. He sat back processing the information.
"I don't...what does it mean?" He asked, looking puzzled. I rubbed my belly.
"It's means that our baby is a girl." So..pink balloons it is, then?
