Chapter 19

3 months later

Veronica's POV

"I can't believe you're getting married tomorrow" Betty gushes. I smile at her "I know. I feel like we're missing something though" I say. She shakes her head "we're not. We've gone over this 3 times. You're just nervous" she says. "Who's nervous?" Archie says walking through the front door with Jughead. "The bride to be, who plays a very important role in this wedding so you should talk her off the ledge" Betty says walking over to greet Jughead. Archie walks over to me and sits down. "Need me to talk you off the ledge" he asks with a smirk. "Nope. I love you and you love me. We're getting married" I say smiling. He smiles and leans in to kiss me but I put my finger up "you got the tuxes right?" I ask. He narrows his eyes at me "yes. Can I kiss you now?" I smile "yes. Please." He leans in and kisses me, holding my face in his hands. "We hate to break this up but as maid of honor it's my job to kick you out. Right now" Betty says, referring to Archie. "What?" He asks pulling out of the kiss. "It's tradition. You can't see me 24 hours before the wedding and it's already past that" I say. "Wait so you're kicking me out" he asks. I stand up and take him by the hand and pull him up. "Yes and I'm sorry. I love you but get out" I say grabbing his bag and nudging him to the door. "Take care of him, Jughead" I say. "I will make sure he is dressed and standing under the alter at 4:00 sharp" he says. I smile at him "thank you, Jughead". He nods and I turn to Archie "Okay I'm sorry but now I'm actually kicking you out" I say putting my hands on his shoulders. "We'll give you guys a minute" Betty says walking out of our apartment with Jughead. I turn to Archie and he wraps his arms around me "I'm gonna miss you" he says. I smile "It'll only be until tomorrow. And then we get married and then we go to Barbados on our honeymoon" I say. "Hmmm you in a bikini. I'll be there" he says winking. "Trust me. Most of our trip will involve me wearing much less than a bikini" I say. He leans his head back and quietly says "Thank you Barbados" I laugh and lay my head on his shoulder. He lifts my face from his shoulder and I look at him and give him a small smile. "This time tomorrow you will be my wife" he says with a smile on his face. I smile back at him "I know it's crazy" I say. "I should go" he says groaning. "I love you" I say holding onto his shirt. "I love you too" he says before leaning down and kissing me. The kiss is soft but passionate, and it leaves me wondering how I'm going to go 24 hours till seeing him again. He pulls away and smiles at me "I'll meet you at the alter" I say as he walks to the door. He opens the door and steps outside "don't make me wait too long" he says. I smile and he disappears down the hall. "Need consoling?" Betty asks frowning at me. "No. But I need to talk" I say sitting down on the couch. "Oh no. What's wrong" she says grabbing two glasses and wine. She puts the glasses on the table and fills them up. "Drink and then tell me" she says. I look at the full glass "I can't" I say. "Of course you can. We can get buzzed but not so drunk that you're hung over tomorrow" she says with a laugh. "No I mean I can't Betty" I say shaking my head. "What wrong, V" She asks narrowing her eyes. I take a deep breath "I'm pregnant."

Archie's POV

"So are you nervous" Jughead asks handing me a beer. "Not at all. I mean it's Veronica, the only thing I'm scared of is Hiram Lodge's death glare when he gives me his daughter" I say. Jughead laughs and sips his beer. "But for some reason Veronica is nervous. I don't know what it is" I say. He shrugs "maybe she's just nervous about all of the people. Or tripping down the isle. There's a lot that could go wrong" he says. "Not helping" I say. "Sorry man" he says laughing. I roll my eyes "so you don't think it's because shes doesn't want to marry me?" I ask. "Dude if Veronica Lodge doesn't want something to happen, then it doesn't happen. She wants this but the past few years haven't been easy for her, so she doesn't remember what it's like to get what she wants. You just have to show her" he says. "Since when are you Veronica Lodge's advocate" I asks laughing. He shrugs "I'm just a fan of good people getting good things" he says. "And I'm also rushing this because I'm afraid she'll realize she can do so much better than you and she'll bail so we have to move fast" he adds. I laugh and hold my beer up "Agreed."

Veronica's POV
"Oh my god" Betty says. I nod my head "I know right" I say. "Well have you guys been trying?" She asks. I shake my head "not at all. We aren't even married yet. We talked about it but not in depth. I don't know what to do" I say. She looks at me in shock "What do you mean? You can't not have the baby. You had Matt's baby and he wasn't your husband" she says. I glare at her "Okay he was but you didn't know. God your life is a mess" she says rolling her eyes. "Not helping!" I say louder than intended. "Okay you're right. I'm sorry. You have to tell Archie though. People will wonder why you're not drinking champagne tomorrow" she says. "You can be my wing woman. Get me glasses of sparkling cider. No one will know" I say panicked. "Why won't you tell him?" She asks. "Because I want tomorrow to be about the wedding. Not our baby, I will tell him on our wedding night" I say calmly. "I have to stay calm" I remind myself, "calm is good for babies". Betty smiles "I can't believe you're pregnant again." I smile back at her and rest my hand on my stomach and say "I know."

Sorry the ending was kind of rushed. I wasn't going to move ahead in time but I really wanted to get to the wedding and Veronica being pregnant. Hope you guys like it :)
