The next morning was calm. The sun peeked through the sheer curtains on the window, leaving a warm patch on the blankets. Wyatt was still sleeping, curled up in a huge pile of blankets.
The clock on the wall read 9:30, probably time to get up. Careful not to wake Wyatt, you slipped out of bed and tip toed into the kitchen.
Owen, Jake, Nicholas and Logan were sitting at the table, cups of juice sitting in front of them.
"Ah, she's awake!" Logan smiled.
"How was your sleep?" Owen asked.
"Not too bad," You shrugged and took a seat across from them.
"Any nightmares?" Finn asked. He had just walked into the kitchen with a box in his hands.
"No. What's in that box?" You answered him.
"Stuff for later," He shrugged, "Want some bacon and eggs?" He asked.
"Sure," Owen nodded.
"That sounds great!" Logan added.
"Wanna go wake up Wyatt?" Finn asked while grabbing bacon and eggs from the fridge.
You nodded and headed down the hall to the guest bedroom.
"Wyatt, breakfast will be ready soon," You lightly shook his arm and whispered.
"Hmm?" He groaned and opened his eyes.
"Breakfast will be ready soon," You repeated.
"Okay, alright. I'll be there in a minute," He sat up in the bed and yawned.
You walked back into the kitchen and sat down in the empty seat beside Owen.
"So what's the plan for today?" Logan asked Finn.
"Everyone needs to brush up on their skills, so today and tomorrow are dedicated to training," Finn replied.
"Sounds good," Logan nodded.
Wyatt walked into the kitchen, and sat down beside you.
"Good morning," he mumbled, rubbing his eyes.
"Bacon and eggs'll be ready in ten minutes, and Wyatt, today everyone's brushing up on their skills," Finn said.
"Sounds good," Wyatt grabbed the juice jug and poured some into the empty cup that was in front of him.
"So what kind of things are we brushing up on?" Jake asked.
"In the garage there will be shooting practice, the basement has a room for sparring and another room for working out," Finn explained.
"You just happen to have all of this?" Nicholas asked.
"I've had it for a while. Never needed it, but you never know when you will," Finn answered.
