You were sitting in a chair, holding an ice pack to your knee, watching the boys lift weights. Finn had made you sit out for the rest of training. He claimed he was doing it 'for your own good', but shouldn't you be training?"Y/n! Stop being salty about sitting out and do something you can do! D'you wanna go do target practice?" Owen asked.
You looked over in his direction to see him putting the weights down and walking towards you.
"You can't just wallow in your sorrow, let's do something productive!" He smiled and held out his hand for you to grab.
"Alright." You grabbed his hand and limped along side him.
Once you entered the garage, Owen grabbed two pairs of ear plugs and handed you a pair.
The two of you shot at targets for close to an hour before Jake came in and said it's time for dinner.
"What're we eating?" Owen asked Jake.
"Baked potatoes and salad." Jake informed is. Owen nodded his head in response and held open the back door for us to enter.
"There she is! Come eat up to heal your leg!" Finn smiled and engulfed you in a bone crushing hug.
"Be careful, Finny, don't want to hurt me more!" You laughed. You took a seat beside Wyatt who had already served himself.
After serving yourself, you sat down with your knee at just the right angle to keep it free of pain. You began eating, but there was a nagging feeling in your gut.
"Is your knee bothering you?" Logan asked.
"Hm?"
"You look, um, distraught. Is it your knee?"
"I just have this bad feeling about what's going to happen. I'm trying to think positive but this feeling just keeps popping up," you told him.
"Relax. Take some deep breaths and focus on something else. We still have tomorrow before we go." He gave you a small smile before he continued to eat.
When everyone finished eating, they brought their dishes to the sink. You stood at the sink, sleeves rolled up and ready to start washing dishes.
"I'll do the dishes today." Logan popped up beside you.
"I'll dry them then," you moved over to the dish rack.
"Nah. Jake! Come here, dry the dishes!" He turned around and shouted at Jake.
"Come on, I was going to watch the hockey game!" Jake protested.
"Dry them fast and you'll have time!" He retorted. Jake sighed and stood up from the couch.
"Thanks." You smiled at Logan and headed towards the rest of the boys who were watching the hockey game.
You sat down in the empty spot beside Wyatt, and began to rest your eyes. Eventually, the sound faded and you fell asleep.
