As I sit here uncomfortably on my chair in front of my desk, I come to think that these days grades define you so much.
I was hearing it from my brother and mum this evening (got a tad less grade in two of my main subjects), and in those 20 minutes the grades of those two subjects just wrote my whole timeline. How I'll perform in my boards, in 11th grade, in 12th grade, what college I'll go to, and how I'll rot and die penniless, with no family and legacy.
They say that expectations keep you motivated to work hard enough. I think not. Rather expectations are like loans, they'll help you prosper (very rarely) or put you in debt (very often). Expectations are like vicious never ending cycles.
Why do they test our memory more than our IQ and skill? Why are good grades required to be acceptable in society. Why can't the society be accepting?
I tell you, this darn society has done too many sins. Society isn't good anymore, or it never was. It doesn't help you at all; all in all it just makes you depressed and suicidal.
Why does everyone have to be the same when it comes to potential? Why does the latter of the siblings have to be as good as the first? Why can't we be accepted as an individual and not a compared personality?
We talk about change and acceptance so much every single day that we tend to forget about ourselves. There's this saying, "if the young know, the old can do." So if the young know acceptance and change, why can't the old be accepting and tolerant towards change? Are your minds so strictly closed and conservative dear elders?
You see, this is the kaleidoscope of life, the beautiful red you see is dried blood and the clear crystals are tears.
