Byun Baekhyun: Don't interrupt me and hear me out.

Me: Sorry.

Byun Baekhyun: I can't come. I have a problem. I'm sorry.

Me: What do you mean? What problem?

Byun Baekhyun: My car stopped on the way over to your house.

Me: How?

Byun Baekhyun: I don't know!

Me: Okay, cool down.

Byun Baekhyun: I can't leave my car in the middle of the road. I don't know how long it will take and I don't want you to be late because of me.

Me: It's okay. But what will you do?

Byun Baekhyun: It's not okay. You should go with your friends. I'll try to come, but I can't promise anything. I might show up late.

Me: I'll wait for you.

Byun Baekhyun: No. You don't have to-

Me: I know.

Byun Baekhyun: Go to the Festival, Hiba. One of us needs to be there.

Me: Okay, but what will you do?

Byun Baekhyun: I don't know, but I'll see what I can do.

Me: How about I come pick you?

Byun Baekhyun: What do you mean you'll come pick me?

Me: I mean I'll come pick you.

Byun Baekhyun: Why? You should just go there.

Me: No, I'm not going without you.

Me: Because I- We're a team.

Byun Baekhyun: But you need to be there. If you come pick me up, we'll both end up being late.

Me: The others won't be there before 5, so that gives us extra time to solve our little problem?

Byun Baekhyun: What 'our little problem'?

Byun Baekhyun: Are you sure about it?

I won't be able to meet my friends before the Festival, but I'll surely see them after it.

Me: Yes, just tell me where you are and I'll be there. I'm ready anyways.

He must live far if he's coming from that side.

And he hung up before the conversation got unnecessarily longer.

Mom asked anxiously, "Who was it sweetie?"

"It was my friend who had to pick me. His car broke down, so I'm gonna go pick him up." I replied, a hint of worry evident in my voice.

"His? Which friend? Suho?"
