Chapter 5

Karlie's pov

Jess and i were hanging out tonight with my brother and Maci we were had finally got everything moved into their house it was such a nice house and Maci wanted to make a huge dinner for Jess, Cooper, Kait, and I to thank us for helping her. Maci and my brother planned on telling us the date of their wedding today since everyone is bugging them about it.  Jess and i went back to my apartment to hang out and freshen up before going back to Derek's as did Coop and Kait but they're literally neighbors with Derek and Maci.  I put on some make up and changed into a sun dress since it was hot today.  I smiled as i walked down stairs to see a Jess sleeping on my couch.  Poor guy is exhausted being famous can take i alot out of ya i chuckled and went to find my keys.  I woke up Jess and told him it was time to leave for dinner.

Maci's pov

Tonight i was making dinner for everyone since they all helped us move in, i changed and went downstairs having no clue what to cook since ya know we didnt have food in the new house.  I sighed and grabbed Derek's truck keys since he was down in the barn moving his bulls and horses in and due to the fact that i didn't know where mine were i got to the  store and chose to make steak and potatoes because it was simple and easy i also picked up some milk and eggs bc at least we need to have something in the hous i will do all the shopping tomorrow when i have more time.  I paid and left arriving home 30 minutes later ya know i love this house and the fact that we live right beside my brother and Jess but living so far from town is going to suck.  I pulled up and Derek looks at me with the why did you take my truck also known as his baby.  he was protective of his truck but once i got out he kissed my cheek and said he got all his work done down at the ranch which i didnt even know this was a ranch but i guess i do now i ask him to please fire up the grill as i went to peel potatoes and boil then because i wanted mashed potatoes.  I got some boiling water going as i dropped the potatoes in and cleaned up the dinning room a little bit and set the table i just hope tonight goes ok with Jess being here and all.... 

Derek's pov

Tonight Maci and i were going to announce our date for the wedding in front of everyone. I was so excited as i was grilling up the steaks Maci got Cooper, Kait, and Mack pulled up and i greeted them hugging them both and giving Mack a fist bump and ruffle up his hair as he walks into the house with Kait Cooper stays out to help me and talk to me about life.  Cooper asks me how Maci and i have been since the engagement i say honestly i could not be more happier and i think she would tell you the same i mean i just don't want to into details with how i know she's really happy with her brother. Cooper laughs and thanks him for not going into details with him.  Soon Jess and Karlie pull up and both talk to Derek for a minute then Karlie goes inside to see if Maci needs help with anything. 

Jess's pov

I didn't wan to be here with Karlie celebrating Maci and Derek i wanted to be next door at my nre house with Maci celebrating us and Derek there with someone else.... I guess i just didn't get luck enough for that.  I stop at the grill with Derek and Coop and talk to them about this coming season and the bulls everything about PBR staying off the topic of Maci and Derek.  Once they were done grilling the steaks we headed into the house for dinner and the only spot left was in between Maci and Karlie great just where i wanna be sitting i rolled my eyes and sighed as i sat down and Maci handed me a plate i thanked her and thanked her for inviting me she smiled that smile that makes your knees weak at me i just sit there so jealous of Derek rn he has everything i have ever wanted. Carried on with dinner and made small talk since i was sitting beside Maci and Derek was on the end i slid my hand up her thigh she gave me that boy stop but at the same time don't look i just chuckled and continued to eat later i felt Derek slide his hand up her leg so i let go rolling my eyes and whispering "this isn't over" in her ear.  

Maci's pov 

We truly only invited everyone over here to say the wedding date we were planning on March 31st which was a little fat considering it was already Jan 21st but i think the sooner we have it the less time i will have to think about Jess and how i have feelings and they just need to go away so i can be happy with Jess i mean Derek Derek Kolbaba my soon to be husband who i love so much i sighed and threw my napkin on my plate.  Derek whispered in my ear what's wrong i said nothing just a little tired i guess, she shook his head understanding it was getting late i soon felt his hand leave my thigh as another one made its way back up my thigh i glared at Jess he just gave me that to die for smile. I got up really fast taking everyone's plates and soon everyone said their goodbyes and when Derek wasnt looking Jess grabbed my ass i batted his hand away and shoed him out the door saying bye to him and Karlie

Derek's pov

As Karlie and Jess  walked out Maci close the door and i turned her around connecting our lips after a second she deepened the kiss and pulled me up the stairs throwing the door opened she threw me on the bed and i stopped and asked her if this was what she wanted.  She stopped and looked at me and said of course we continued on i flipped her over leaving me in control she slipped her shirt off as i was doing the same eventually we were both naked and that night i made love to her for the first time in a while it was pure passion. 

Maci's pov

As much as i didn't want to admit it tonight made me want Jess even more he was so flirty but then again Derek pleased me well tonight ugh it feels like i am stuck between them both.
