"What movie are we watching first Amber?" Eddie asked curiously.
"We are going to watch The Outsiders!" I said excitedly.
"But I have seen that already!" Richie whined.
"Fine, it's either this or The Breakfast Club." I said.
"I want to watch The Breakfast Club!" Georgie said happily.
"Ok, Georgie we will watch The Breakfast Club." I say.
The losers and I sit and watch The Breakfast Club, until the end in which by that point Georgie was asleep by my feet and Eddie was asleep, laying over my lap. I asked quietly what the remaining wanted to watch and they said BeetleJuice. So I put on the movie and got up the best I could without waking Eddie or Georgie and made some more popcorn. Then, I took Georgie to his room, kissed him on the head and told him goodnight. Next, I took Eddie up to my bed and told him goodnight. I went back downstairs and grabbed the popcorn. I went back and watched the rest of the movie with the losers which by that point were all asleep. "Goodnight guys I love you." I whispered before getting up. I needed to go to the store to get some tampons. The nearest store was about a block away but I really needed tampons and I couldn't wait. I put my shoes on and grabbed a jacket.
I walked down the silent street feeling a little bit nervous because normally I don't go out really late at night. It was my fault for not getting tampons earlier, I'm such an idiot. I finally got to the store and got what I needed and headed out. I wasn't paying attention and knocked into someone.
"Hey! watch where your walking!" A familiar voice said. I got up and reached out my hand not realizing who I was trying to help up. I looked down and saw the one person I didn't want to see... Henry Bowers.
"Amber, what the hell is wrong with you?" Henry asked slapping my hand away and getting up himself.
"I'm sorry Henry, it's not like I meant to knock you over." I shrugged. Then, I realised that the box of tampons weren't in my hands.Shit. I finally saw them just a few steps away.
"Why are you out here this late anyway?" Henry asked curiously.
"I... I.. I umm needed to-" too late he picked up the box and handed them to me. I took them embarrassed.
"I'll be right back." Henry breathed.
Great I have screwed up big time! I took this time to turn and bolt towards home. I ran as fast as I could and tripped. Just wonderful. I got up and looked behind me, nothing. So I got up and started walking, looking over my shoulder sometimes. It had been a while since I looked over my shoulder, so I looked and saw an angry Henry with a cigarette in his mouth. I shrieked but it was muffled by a hand.
"Amber, shut the fuck up! I'm not going to hurt you!" Henry whisper-screamed.
"Sorry, but you seriously scarred me." I confessed.
"Whatever, but seriously I told you I would be right back.Why did you leave?" He scolded.
"I was embarrassed..." I notified.
"Why? I- was it because I saw that you had tampons?" Henry remembered.
"Yea." I affirmed.
Henry burst out into a fit of laughter. Real laughter. I stood there even more embarrassed than I was before.
"Seriously Amber, I wouldn't have figured you would get embarrassed over that" Henry chuckled.
"Yeah whatever..." I uttered.
"Aww did I hurt little Amber's feelings?" Henry chuckled.
"No Henry, you didn't!" I snapped at him.
"Jesus you really are on your period aren't you." Henry blurted with his hands up.
I walked a little faster to my house which was just a little bit ahead. I heard his footsteps get closer and I broke into a sprint. He was right behind me and I ran up onto my porch.
"Amber what are you doing?" Henry questioned.
"I'm going to bed" I wheezed opening up my door carefully and shut it. I peeked out the window and saw Henry shaking his head as he walked away. "What just happened?" I asked myself. I climbed onto the couch and went to sleep.
