August
I woke up relatively early and decided to head down to Henry's house. I went to the bathroom and threw on this outfit:
I finished doing my makeup and went downstairs. I headed out the door and started the long journey to Henry's house.
Timeskip to Henry's driveway.
I was only a few yards away when I heard a gun go off. I looked to see Henry, gun in his hand, who had shot a bottle. I smiled and started walking towards him, I watched as his dad shut the door to his police cruiser. Butch had pure anger written over his face as he walked towards Henry.
"What the hell is going on here?" Butch asked almost right up on Henry.
"Just cleaning your gun like you asked." Henry spoke as he turned to face his dad.
"You're cleaning my gun, huh?" Butch growled. At this point, I was a bit fearful because I didn't know what was going to happen. I watched Henry whisper something.
"Hey!" Henry's dad shouted and I watched Henry jump. I hadn't even realized that Butch had grabbed the gun and began to walk away.
Butch stopped and turned around, raised the gun and shot at Henry's feet. One, two, three shots. Henry jumped and covered his head as he shook violently.
"What the fuck?" I screamed as I dashed towards Henry.
"Amber leave." Henry spoke pleadingly as tears brimmed in his eyes.
"No Henry. Butch, what the fuck was that for?" I screamed at him.
"Amber, what are you doing here?" Butch asked menacingly.
"I came to see your son. Now tell me why you just shot at him!" I screamed.
"Teaching him a lesson I suppose." Butch spoke as he approached me. "Besides, why are you with my pathetic excuse for a son, when you could be with anyone else?" Butch growled.
"One, that is not how you teach your son a lesson and two, you are way more pathetic than your son." I spoke with venom. I could see Butch tense and get very angry. I knew I screwed up at that point.
Butch came at me and slapped me across the face.
"You do not speak to a higher authority like that." Butch said as he spat on me. Butch walked away and I wiped the spit off my face.
Henry's friends had left and it was just me and him.
"Why did you even come here?" Henry asked angrily.
"I just wanted to see you." I informed.
"Well, you haven't been here in a month and a half, so why today? Why today did you decide to just pop up?" Henry spat.
"I'm sorry that I'm your girlfriend and I care about you." I gritted.
"Really? If you cared then why haven't you talked to me in over a month and a half?" Henry asked.
"Because I didn't, I thought you would come see me for once instead of me always having to come to you!" I started to cry.
"Stop with that fake bullshit!" Henry spat.
"Henry, why are you being so rude?" I asked angrily.
"Why do you even care?" Henry spoke.
"You know what Henry?" I questioned.
"What?" Henry asked.
"We.Are.Done." I screeched as I smacked him across the face.
"W-What?" Henry started.
"No, Henry, I don't want to hear it!" I yelled as I stormed off.
I sprinted away from Henry's house and towards mine. I finally stopped and began walking, I walked for about 15 minutes before making it to my house. I walked into my house and went upstairs, I decided to call Harper because I haven't talked to her since school. She didn't pick up so I decided to watch some movies and cry.
Why did I break up with him? Is he thinking about me or has he moved on? Does he even care? All these different questions were going through my head. I just sat there while thinking about the days to come.
