Last Breath

     I couldn't believe what I was hearing. My knees went week and I felt like I was going to pass out. "Shayne..." Aaron ran behind me to catch me. I turned and looked at Aaron. As the tears fell it almost didn't seem real. "Can I see him...please?" "Sure!" The doctor took all of us back to say goodbye.
    Once we got to his room, Aaron, Billy and Jay walked in, once I saw him it was like I froze. The nurses where unhooking the machines they had him on. He looked at so lifeless. There was a bright light the shined on his face and he looked at peace. I slowly made my way to him as the tears kept coming. I took his hand and held it as I knelt down covering my face as I cried. The guys knelt around me, "I'm so sorry shayne!" Billy said as he wiped the tears from his eyes. I wasn't ready to let him go. I wanted so bad for him to wake up, for this to just be a night mare. But it was too late, I had lost the man I loved so much and I was never gonna get him back. I wanted so bad to feel his touch to feel his kiss to hear his voice but I was never getting that back. I just kept thinking what I did wrong. Why did Zak have to lose his life? All of a sudden I felt a pain I had never felt before...My heart was breaking....
       "We have to move him now!" The doctor said. "Doc please, Shayne is struggling with this, just give her time!" Aaron said. "Ok!" He said and walked away. "Shayne the guys and I are gonna go are u gonna be ok?" I nodded lightly. Billy and Jay gave me a hug and walked out. Aaron stopped and turned to look at me, "Shayne..." I looked at him, "I'm so sorry!" And gave me a hug. "Thanks Aaron!" I said trying to smile.
    I took Zak's hand and held it. I noticed something white in his other hand. I reached over and pulled it out of his hand and noticed it was a petel from the roses that he got just before he left for Ireland. But why did he have it on his hand.
