One Last Kiss Before You Go

      As I leaned to kiss Zak for the last time, a tear fell from my eye and landed on his cheek. "I love you!" I whispered as I looked at him. I cried knowing this was the thing I would say to him ever....
      The doctor came in, "We will have to move him now!" I looked at the doctor with a broken heart and nodded as I left the room. I leaned against the wall praying. The tears kept coming as I slid down the wall as I screamed. I wasn't ready to let go. Not yet, it was too soon. The doctors pushed Zak down the hall with his whole body covered so I couldn't see his face. But before the doctors got half way down the hall something happened, something I just could not explain. "I think he's breathing!" The nurse said. I looked down the hall and noticed all the commotion. "Get him back to the room!" And they rushed him back. "Zak!" I yelled. The doctors and nurses ran past me. I tried to get back into the room but the doctor kept pushing me out, "We have to check him. Please just wait in the hall!" "What's going on?" I yelled as the door shut in my face.
   
   It's been over an hour and the doctor still has not come out. I needed to know what was going on. Why did they bring him back? Just than the doctor came out, "Shayne!" I stood up. "What's going on? Why did u bring Zak back here?" "He's alive!" I couldn't believe it, "what?" "I can't explain it but he is very with alive!" I was shocked. "No that's not possible, how could he..." "I can't answer that!" "But he was dead. I saw him, he was dead!" The doctor looked at me. "Can I see him?" "He's in a sleep like coma. He won't be able to talk to u but he can hear u!" I looked at the doctor I wasn't sure what to say. "You can go in!" I went to go in but than turned around, "Thank u!" He smiled. I walked into the room and the nurse that was still in the room stopped and looked at me, "Will u be staying with him tonight?" I looked at her, "Yes!" I said. "I'll go grab u a blanket and pillow. " "Thank u!" I said and she left the room. I stood by Zak and took his hand and said "Thank you!"
     
    I laid there on the visitors bed looking up at the ceiling and had a conversation with God. "I know that I haven't been the best at this sort of thing, what ever u call it. I know that this may not seem like much but thank u, thank u for bringing Zak back into my life!" I smiled slightly and turned to look at Zak. I was glad to have him back. I got up and walked over to his bed side and climbed up next to him, "I love you!" And fell asleep.
