Till Death Do Us Part

"I love you too!"

      Fans had heard about what happened to Zak. Everyday they would send gifts, get well soon cards, balloons etc.... A few fans that were here in Vegas even came up to visit. It was like the world was at a stand still. They had put on charity events to help raise money for hospital bills. Their faith and dedication helped me and the entire GA crew.

     It was around noon that Saturday and I sending text messages back and forth to keep everyone updated. Aaron and the guys had been up a few times to visit but with their busy schedules they couldn't stay for long. They came as much as they could. But it was still weighing down on the crew especially since the were now down a team member. I remember I was just getting finished with updates and I set my phone down and just started out the window. The nurse had just left and the room was filled with silence. I sat in the chair and just stared out the window and started to pray. I than stood up to lay down next to Zak. I curled up next to him and held his hand. After about a minute or so I felt something. I sat up slightly and looked at Zak but there was nothing, I layed back down and felt it again. "Zak..." and as soon as I said his name I felt it again. He had squeezed my hand. This was the first sign of communication that I have had from in over the past two weeks.
     
    I ran out to the hall and grabbed the doctor and explained what happened. I followed the doctor back into the room and watched and waited while the doctor ran some tests. "Well..." I said. The doctor shook his head, "I didn't get any responses out of any of the tests I just did. But that doesn't mean anything. He may only be showing some form of communication to just you." "What does that mean?" "He hears u. He knows ur here. Communicate with him and he will do the same. One day at a time though!" He said and left the room. I let out a small sigh and went and stood by Zak. "Communicate!" I let out a small laugh, I took Zak's hand, "I miss you!" I whispered. I didn't get any response. "The doctor says that u can hear me but I'm not sure anymore." Tears formed in my eyes, "I just want to see u open ur eyes. I wanna see that amazing smile. I just want u!" And I waited to see what would happen but got nothing. I smiled through the tears, "I love you Zak!"
