Never Giving Up

      "Knock knock!" I turned to see Jeff, one of Zak's really good friends and the researcher for the crew. "Hey Jeff!" I said as we hugged. "So where is Zak?" "Oh the doctor took him down the hall for some last minute testing he should be back in few minutes." "Oh no hurry I just gotta talk to him really quick." "Oh." I folded my arms, "Is everything ok?" "Yea I just need to check on a few things that's all!" I looked at him confused but left it at that. "Thank u doctor!" Zak said as he came in. "Hey Zak!" "Hey Jeff, how's it going?" "Good, how are u feeling?" "U know I've been better!" He laughed, "Well the reason in here Zak is because I needed to talk to u!" He looked at me and than at Jeff, "About what?" He smiled, "Shayne would u mind giving us a minute?" "Ah...yea, sure. I'll just be out there if u need me!" And I left the room. I was curious about what was going on but I knew that Zak would end up telling me later.

      "So what are u saying?" I asked. " Its just a small break until u can get on ur feet again!" "I'm not giving up that easily Jeff I have worked to hard for this to just call it quits!" "Zak they are not asking u to quit they just want to make sure ur feeling better before u get back into it!" I was pissed, "The decision has been made, I'm sorry Zak!" "Yea me too!" I said. Jeff stood there for a minute before he left. I couldn't believe it.

      No one's POV

   I stood out in the hall waiting when Jeff came out, I watched him as I went back to into the room. "Hey, is everything ok?" "I don't want to talk about it!" "What..." "I said I don't want to talk about it, just drop it ok!" I could tell he was upset. Something happened and I was going to get to the bottom of it one way or another.

      "Are u ready to get home?" I asked with a smile. He looked at me and I could see the hurt. "Zak, are u going tell me what's bothering u?" He barely turned to look at me, "No!" And finished putting his things together. I stood there and just watched him, "What?" He said giving a cold stare. "Nothing!" I was worried.
