Chapter 19

Niall’s POV

“Niall! I have a bar!” Callie screeches excitedly. “I need to be higher!” I see a wooden bench similar to the one we were sitting on earlier. I hope it wasn’t the exact one we were sitting on earlier. I run to the bench and hop on. I teeter and tumble backwards. Callie screams as we fall to the ground. I black out.

My hand throbs as I sit up. My vision is blurry and it comes in and out of focus. When my head stops spinning I look over to where I hear Callie’s heavy breaths.

“CALLIE!” I yell. She’s unconscious and lying in a small pool of blood.

“HARRY! ZAYN! LOUIS! ANYONE!” I scream. Nobody even turns to look at me. I turn back to Callie and get down on my knees.

“Callie?” I whisper uncertainly. I know I need to go get help. I bet Liam would know what to do. I have to find them. I hoist her up over my shoulder. There is a rather large gash in her leg that’s still bleeding. I start to run. “HARRY! LIAM! LOUIS! ZAYN!” I yell. Out of a mass of people I see a head of brown hair.

“ELEANOR!” I yell. “WHERE ARE THE REST OF THE BOYS?”

“WHAT HAPPENED?” She asks me seeing Callie slung over my shoulder.

“I’LL EXPLAIN LATER WE NEED TO FIND THE BOYS!” She takes my free hand and starts dragging me across the airport. It hurts uncontrollably but all I can think about now is Callie. At a small grungy table sit four teenage boys and Danielle. As soon as I’m in sight Harry stands up. He runs over.

“What happened?” He asks. He sees the gash on Callie’s leg and his mouth opens wide. He takes her from my arms and carries her bridle style to the table.

“What happened?” He asks me calmly. I pant and hold up my hand.

“Just     a     second.”

“NIALL TELL ME WHAT HAPPENED!” He screams.

“Okay!” I pant. “So you guys said you wanted food. You all got up and walked away. Callie didn’t get up and she told me she couldn’t walk, so she got on my back. We couldn’t find you, so she tried to call you. She had one bar, so she told me we needed to be on higher ground. I hopped on a bench and I fell. I just woke up and she’s still unconscious.” I say in a blur. Everyone stares at me. Harry gets up, hands Callie very carefully to Liam and starts to run.

“HARRY!” I yell. I catch up to him when he stops at the counter. There is now a woman behind it.

“Helicopter.” Harry tells her. “We” He motions to him and I. “Need helicopter.” He makes a little helicopter noise. “For my” He motions to himself. “girlfriend.” He gives me a peck on the cheek. She bursts out laughing.

“I know Eengleesh!” She tells us. “Now what about heleecopter?” Harry looks taken aback. His cheeks flush red.

“My girlfriend!” He says. She fell and she’s bleeding and we need to get out of here!”

“Okay!” She says. She picks up a little phone behind a desk. She dials. She starts ranting on in Spanish. Her tone grows aggressive and she slams the phonee back on the receiver. “I so sorry, we have no heleecopter available. You have to wait.”

“How long?” Asks Harry.

“Tomorrow at 4:00.” She answers.

“We’ll get back to you.” Says Harry. He starts to jog back to where everyone is sitting. When I’m right next to him, I grab his arm. He turns to look at me.

“Harry.” I start. “I’m really sorry.”

“Niall, it wasn’t your fault!” He tells me. I really can’t help but feel bad. I don’t even know what happened to her!  We make our way over to the others. Callie groans.

“Callie!” Harry calls and runs full speed over to Liam. He takes her from his arms and sits down. He lays her on a bench and puts her head on his lap. He starts to gently stroke her hair. “Baby you light up my world like nobody else. The way that you flip your hair gets me overwhelmed, but when you smile at the ground it ain’t hard to tell.” He sings. Her eyes flutter open and she digs herself deep into Harry’s chest.
