Chapter 33

Chapter 33

“Oooh.” I smile. “I’m not going to be borrowing this.” She grabs the shirt from my hands.

“I really do hate you.” She smiles.

“Well I’m hungry; let’s go see if there is any food in this house.” I say making my way to the stairs. She follows me. I lead the way into the kitchen where the boys have disappeared and mom and Aunt Molly are drinking coffee.

“You look so much alike, how are we going to tell them apart in their dresses?” My mom asks. I smile at her.

“You girls have grown so much since I’ve seen you together!” Aunt Molly adds. I smile and make my way over to the counter. I start to carve a watermelon. I take out a big chunk and move out of the way for Alyssa to start. I sit down next to my mom. I haven’t had much time to talk to her about the wedding. Or think about the wedding myself. What will it be like? Will I even be here half the time? Will I be with Harry? I finish my watermelon and get up to wash my hands.

“I’ll be in the basement.” I say and pound my way down the stairs. A few minutes later I hear footsteps and the door to the basement opens. Probably Alyssa. As I turn my head I see that it’s not Alyssa, but Daniel. He sits down in the chair across from me.

“So.” He starts.

“I’m fine with you marrying my mom Dan.” I say. Why did I say that? I’m not fine with it.

“I’m so glad to hear that.” He sighs.  I smile. “I just wanted to tell you that I really love your mom, and I’m so glad to hear that you’re fine with it. I’m so happy that we’ll be a family together.” Family? I want to ask. I barely know you! But of course I’m not going to say that. He gets up and walks up the stairs. After a few minutes there are more footsteps and Alyssa appears.

“Hey.” I greet her.

“Hi.” She says plopping down on the couch.

“Excited for tomorrow? She asks.

“I guess.” I say.

“Sooo.” She starts.

“What?” I ask.

“Girls!” My mother shouts from upstairs. “Dinner!” We look at each other and speed up the stairs. The pizza boxes line the counter. I take off towards the pineapple and grab two slices. I take a bite. “Not over the food!” My mom scolds. I sit down at the table next to Noah.

“I heard about your boyfriend.” He says smiling cheekily at me.

“Oh yeah?” I ask taking another big bite of pizza.

“A rich one, nice job Callie!” Grayden sits down on the other side of me.

“And he’s not that bad looking.” Noah punches me playfully. I finish my first piece and start on the second. I’m done in three bites, so I clear my plate and head down to the basement. My phone rings.

“Zayn, hi!” I say. Alyssa’s head pops up and her mouth forms into an O. I smile at her.

“Hey Cal. Harry just wanted me to tell you that he doesn’t have a phone anymore.” Zayn says matter of factly.

“What happened to his phone?” I ask.

“Oh, he just you know threw it across the room.”

“Oh.” I say trying to hold in a laugh.

“Okay, well that’s all.”

“Bye Zayn.” I say.

“Bye Cal.” He says. I hang up the phone. Alyssa rushes over.

“You were talking to Zayn Malik!” She gushes.

“Yeah.” I answer.

“What did he say?” She asks.

“He told me Harry chucked his phone across a room so he doesn’t have one anymore.” I say smiling. Alyssa laughs. “You would love them.” I say smiling at her.

“I wish I could meet them.” She says. I nod and we head down to the basement.

“I’m tired.” I yawn hopping onto the couch. She jumps on the couch next to me.

“Me too.” She says.

“I’m gonna call Harry.” I say.

“I thought he didn’t have a phone.” She says getting up and digging through her suitcase.

“I’ll call Liam then.” I say pulling out my phone. She scooches closer to me.

“Hi Lee Lee!” I say as soon as he picks up the phone.

“Hey Callie! I’m guessing you want to talk to Harry?” He asks.

“Yes.” I say. Liam hands over the phone.

“Hello Callie!” Harry says.

“Hi Harry!”

“Do anything fun today?” He asks.

“I got my dress.” I say.

“That’s nice. I’m sure you look absolutely gorgeous.” He says. I smile and Alyssa punches me in the side.

“My cousins came over today too.” I say smiling at her. She goes white.

“How old are they?” He asks.

“Grayden is 23, Noah is 20, and Alyssa is 18.” I say.

“Zayn, I found you a girlfriend!” Harry sings. Alyssa goes white.

“So what did you do today?” I ask.

“Chucked my phone across a room.” He answers.

“Why?” I ask

“Because I was angry.” He says.

“Oh Harry.” I say.

“Come on Harry we have to go!” Louis screams.

“I’m assuming you have to go.” I say.

“Yeah. I’ll talk to you later.” He says.

“Bye Harry.” I say.

“Bye Callie.” He says and I hang up the phone. I drop my phone on the ground and lay back on the couch. Before I can do anything else my eyes start to droop and I drift off to sleep.
