Harry could swear he was going absolutely mad. He wasn't in Heaven, and he wasn't in Hell. He was nowhere, literally nowhere- in a giant black nothing, and there was a voice in his head- talking to him.
There was a voice in Harry's head, and for the first few minutes of it talking to him, he could swear he was going insane.
But he was dead. He had died months ago. He couldn't be crazy. Could dead people go insane?
Harry, you must move on. The voice said. It's not healthy to stay here and watch him for the rest of his life. Even if you are dead.
"Then let me go back!" Harry said. He wasn't actually sure who he was talking to or if this man had the power to make him human again, but if he could crawl right into Harry's mind, well, Harry was sure he could.
Move on, without him. You must move on. You'll meet him again one day.
"I can't move on!" Harry protested, tears coming to his eyes (could dead people cry?). He knew how selfish he was being, but- "I need him back!"
The voice sighed, and if he were to take human form, Harry would guess he'd be rubbing his eyes over the bridge of his nose. "Harry-"
"Please," Harry's voice began to weaken and break. "I'm begging you, please. I love him, a-and I don't even feel dead!"
"You were cremated!" The voice argued, his voice rising in frustration and annoyance. Harry wasn't scared or threatened. "How are you supposed to explain that to people?"
"So make the ashes disappear!" Harry scowled. "Please, just . . . please. It can be one of those heaven and back stories! I haven't been gone for that long! We can say I was in a coma when I'm back fully! I'll handle it, the boys will be on my side! Please."
Harry this is a big risk. The voice warned, but it wasn't like Harry actually cared. And I'd have to recreate your body, so it would take a while.
"I won't tell anybody about this if it means I get my BooBear back." Harry promised. "And take as long as you like, just as long as he doesn't die before I can see him again- alive."
You're lucky Harry. The voice suddenly sounded professional again- not angry or annoyed. You're very passionate about going back, so ... I will let you.
Harry let out a happy sob and opened his mouth to say something, but the voice spoke before he could. But it will take about a month as I, like I said, have to recreate your body. All you will be doing now is appearing in Louis' dreams, since you're so passionate to see him again. You can tell him you're coming back and explain this whole thing or whatever you plan to do. I'd warn him, honestly, if I were you. Good luck.
Then the voice was gone from Harry's mind. Harry was on his own again, but that didn't matter. Only one thing mattered to him. Harry was gonna get his boyfriend back, and he would stop at nothing until Louis was in his arms again.
