I couldn't comprehend what was happening, darkness was yet to fall on us, time was growing short every second.

How could this be?

Profound thoughts reaching for the earth's crust lured tears to escape, cascading down my cheeks, thoughts imprisoned me. I felt motionless as my throat formed a spherical hard like stone thing that I couldn't swallow, not even God I believe could. He saw it coming, he knew, he knew exactly when, where and why it would happen. I had my fingers all crossed praying that all turns in my favor.

It was now evening, 15 minutes had already passed the 20th hour. The roar of my tummy had grown vicious and my lips were drying up, turning white with cracks on my lower lip.

I couldn't run away from the thought of losing mum at such a young age, I felt I needed her most during those stages. I was a young inquisitive lad, fascinated almost by anything new that I couldn't comprehend its nature.

"I think I'm becoming worse mother, I need to go see a doctor" Mum's words exposed how naive I was as she told my granny of her condition.

The sickness was undoubtedly detectable, yet my knowledge of it was inconspicuous, I've always wanted to question her about this, but I just wasn't interested by then.

A heavy load of exhaustion settled upon my shoulders, my feet were throbbing with heat, crying to escape the sneakers I had on to pollute the entire house with its cheesy stench.

Yeah Uhm my feet smell, they're so horrible, it's stench would crowd the entire house and if you were in the kitchen you'd fail to absorb the aroma of grandma's delectable supper.

The thought of bathing persistently crossed my mind but I was lethargic to even endeavor lifting a needle off the floor.

I was in the kitchen with mother, granny and my older cousin. Though Mike was heading to the boys bedroom, his disappearance left me with my two old ladies.

Whilst my granny was preparing dinner, mom was there to hand her ingredients she needed from the slim antique cardboard that stored all cooking equipment.

"How's your sheen? Wasn't it aching this afternoon during your match?" Mom was concerned after the incident I encountered a few weeks ago, she just didn't want to see blood anymore.

"I'm much better mom, the pain wasn't bothersome as it was last week, I think it's healing quicker than you thought it would, I'll be okay mom." I smirked warmly at her

"Okay, you should take a bath before going to bed, your sweat is horrible I could smell it before you entered the house." she pinched her nose and pouted her lips.

"Alright mom, I will." I said reluctantly with a  frowny face.

"Supper will be ready in no time." mom could sense my hunger, she knows that I become lazy when I'm hungry.

I went to check up on my siblings in the sitting room, I was a bit concerned by the silence in the house. Usually they're noisy, but today silence was loud to my ears.
