All the boys were gathered around the camp in a dis-function-able circle. I was sitting next to Kendall, when Peter took a wood spoon and banged a pot to get everyone's attention. All the boys, including Kendall and I, turned in his direction."Okay boys, our plan for today is to just have a fun game day! We will start off our day with capture the flag, and then move on to other things! Does that sound like a plan?" Peter spoke.
Everyone nodded in agreement. I was really excited for my first real day in Neverland! I couldn't wait to see what we would do after capture the flag.
Well all finished eating, and got into more comfortable clothing. After that we met up again around the central part of camp. Peter split us into two teams. I was with Peter and two other boys, one being Jimmy, and the other Tommy. Kendall was paired up with Stephen and Jeffery. It was four against one, that didn't seem fair to me but you never know it just might work.
"Okay boys and girl!" Said Peter as everyone turned to him, "I'm going to put a little twist on today's capture the flag. Instead of there being a flag we are going to hide one of the members on our team. When a the person on the opposite team you are on fines you as the flag, you must go with them willingly. It will then be up to your teammates to get you back. Is that clear?"
Everyone nodded and then Peter said, "Well, let the game begin!"
Our team huddled into a circle to see who was going to be the flag. I offered to be it because I was the smallest. Stephen on the other team was the flag. The teams went their separate ways, once we were far enough away Peter put me inside a tree trunk. and made a door for it. They went off to try to find Stephen.
After awhile I got bored just sitting there so I had a lot of time to think. Peter never said the flag had to stay in one place, he only recommended it. He also didn't say that a flag couldn't capture another flag so chances are that it would be okay if I left and captured Stephen. He probably hasn't thought much about this and just assumes he has to stay in place.
The one thing I can't wrap my hands around is where would Kendall hide Stephen. I pondered for a little while and thought, well there is a pretty could chance no one would check camp because it would be too stinking obvious.
I sneak my way out of the tree trunk covering myself in leaves and branches to give myself some sort of coverage. It was hard but I eventually made my way to camp. No one was there guarding it because they were all out looking for me, or Stephen. I heard a crack come from my tent, I felt a little hesitant, fearful, yet a hint of courage. My courage has been gathered, and I opened the tent...
There Stephen was, hiding under the blankets.
"Ready to go?" I asked
"I guess so..." He replied.
I took his hand and applied mug, sticks, and leaves to his body. Right now would determine whether we win or lose. Cautiously I guided us back to home base, staying as alert as possible. All I had to do was make it to home base, blow the horn, and victory would be declared ours!
I heard rustling in the bushes, I pulled Stephen along swiftly until I was far enough away to come up with a plan. I dragged him up the tree so we could hide a little better. My eyes looked downward and I saw Kendall looking around, rather confused.
"Hmm, I swear I just saw them Stephen and Sebastian a moment ago." She mumbled to herself.
Once the coast was clear, we made our way down and only had a little more ways to go before we reached the horn and victory! There was nothing standing in my way, as I saw the horn in sight. I tugged him along faster and faster until his teeth rattled because I was pulling so hard.
I grabbed hold of the horn, pulled it up to my lips, and blew as hard as humanly possible.
Everyone was teleported to our based and Peter got up and stood on a tree stump.
"I bet it is all clear to everyone, that the boy who stands before us has achieved more than what I could imagine, and trust me that is a lot! He has thought what no one who even think about, I now today declare Sebastian as an official Lost Boy!" Peter exclaimed.
For once everyone cheered for me, it brought a sense of comfort and a bunch of emotions overwhelming me at once. I didn't know what most of them were, I've never experienced them before. All I could interpret is that I felt good and at home.
In Storybrooke, all I felt was alone. I had a Dad that was never around and when he was my Mom and him would fight leaving me to cry myself to sleep. My mom is always either fighting with my dad or working on her books. I mean sure we spend time together, but not a lot. I ride the bus to school and my friends pretty much ignore me, so I wouldn't really consider them friends.
No one cared about me or truly took me under their wing, until I met Peter Pan and Kendall. They were what was going to change my life and piece me back together, considering all I am is shattered glass.
