"Emma I've known you for longer than a week. You may not have known me, but I've known you." OKAY, this is creepy. "I've lived down the street from you since I was born. The reason I always saw you but you never saw me is because I was homeschooled and toured. I was either touring, on a bus, on a plane, or in my house doing school. I'd always see you leave your house early in the mornings rushing to make your bus. I've always wanted to meet you, but never really had the time or courage." He mumbled the last part. "That's why this dinner was so special to me, and why it was worth it." I had no clue what to say to that. I just sat there in silence, staring at him. "Well, you should've introduced yourself to me sooner. Then I could've been annoyed with you sooner." We both laughed as I attempted to break the awkward silence.
We finished our dinner and talked about really everything. He told me about life on tour, and I told him about my life experiences, but then didn't really compare to his. I told him I would have killed to go on tour and have millions of fans from across the world. "As in, kill Stacey to go on tour?" I looked at him dead serious. "Yes." We both burst out into laughter.
After dinner, he walked me home. "Maybe now we'll be seeing more of each other," I said to him, barely able to see his face due to the darkness. "Well, now that you told me you live so close and you go to my school now." I raised an eyebrow at him. "You know your family could have come over to our house and introduced yourselves." He said to me, now raising his eyebrow. "Welllll..." I attempted to make an excuse.
We were at my doorstep and it was time for him to tell me goodnight. If we were on a date, this is where he would kiss me. Under the porch light, straight in the front of the door. A classic. Except for the fact that we aren't on a date, so that would just be awkward. He leaned forward and hugged me. He whispered into my ear, "I'm really sorry about what happened with Liam. He really missed out." He waved goodbye to me and headed home.
I headed to my room, and you know, me being a girl and everything, I texted my friends.
Me- OMG guys!!
Lilia: what!!
Me: jacob took me to that fancy french cafe on the corner of manson street, it was soo good
Vee: no way!! i love that place
Kat: i've never been :/
Lilia: ^^^

Lilia: GIRL WHAT

Kat: nooo!!
Me: yess!
Lilia: why would he lie?
Me: he never lied, everyone told us that and we assumed it was true
Me: he also told me that he has seen me every morning at the bus stop and when i come home
Me: so in a way, he knows me
Lilia: idk if that's creepy or cute
Vee: wOaH too much for me to take in
Me: he never introduced himself to me because he was too shy
Kat: aww i think it's adorable
Lilia: ^^
I close my phone and get ready for bed. I don't know either whether to think this is creepy... or cute. After I get ready for bed, I close my eyes, imagining what would happen if Jacob had introduced himself to me sooner.
