Chapter 30

"What about Stacey?" I asked Jacob, still confused. 

He looked down at the ground as if he was collecting himself. He finally looked back up to me and said something.

"I'm not the father of Stacey's baby." I dropped my jaw. "Well then, who is!?" I asked, afraid he was lying to me.

"Shockingly, it's Mark. Stacey lied to me about the baby because she knew about Mark's plans. She didn't want the baby to grow up with a bad father, so that's why she lied."

He grabbed my arm and pulled me closer. "I want to be with you, Emma, and that baby was the only thing holding me back."

He leaned in to kiss me, but I pulled away. "I can't do this. I can't do this to Liam." I grabbed my phone and ran to my house. 

Why did I feel like this? Almost as if I wanted to be with Jacob? No. I wasn't about to blow everything I had hoped for 2 years away just because another guy comes in the picture.

I got home and ran up to my room. I saw that my brother's girlfriend, Amber, was here. As I walked past my brother's room, she came running out. I had tears streaming down my face. 

"What's wrong?" She asked me as I led her into my bedroom. 

"There's this guy I've had a crush on for 2 years and we are finally dating. But then there's another guy who just moved here, and I kind of like him. He says he wants to be with me. I don't know what to do."

I sat with my head in my hands. I was bawling by this point. Amber leaned over and hugged me. I didn't know what to do. Do I choose Jacob or Liam?

"Sweetie, you need to follow your heart."
