Chapter 25

I looked back and Jacob was standing there. "Well?" I said, waiting for an explanation. "It's kind of embarrassing, so I'll spare you the details. The reason Stacey wanted to get back together with me is because she found out she was pregnant. A, we'll say... incident happened when we were first together. Like I said, it's a bit embarrassing." 

"Woah... so you're the father?" Jacob nodded his head. "I can't believe this. Why didn't you tell me?" I asked him. "I haven't really told anyone. Not even my mom." I didn't know how to react to this. "I think I'm going to leave now." 

I went to call Ethan. It was 3 am by now. He didn't answer. He must've been asleep. I called again. No answer. "Do you need a ride home?" Jacob asked me. "No, you can stay and enjoy the party." Jacob pulled out his car keys. "I was going to leave anyways. Come on." I followed him to his car. 

I got in the passenger seat of his car. You're probably wondering why he doesn't drive to school. That's because his mom is afraid some crazy fan would break into his car and steal it or hide in it.  So, he takes the bus. 

I pulled out my phone and checked Instagram.

@xanonymousx started following you. 

Who is that? I clicked on their profile and saw their most recent most was a video. I listened to it. 

"The reason Stacey wanted to get back together with me is because she found out she was pregnant."

 It was Jacob's voice! I looked at Jacob. "I swear, this isn't me!" He pulled over on the side of the road. He took my phone and listened to the video. "Who is this?" He asked me. "I don't know! They just started following me." He pulled out his phone and went to Instagram.

"They're following me, too." He told me. He shrugged his shoulders. "I guess it had to come out sometime..." He said, almost tearing up. He put the keys back in the ignition and continued driving. "Do you want to talk about this?" I asked him. "No, I just need to tell my mom before she finds out."

The whole ride home was kind of awkward. Jacob didn't say anything, and I didn't say anything, either. When I got home, I tiptoed up to my room, not wanting to wake anyone. I heard my phone ding so I pulled it out to check it.

Lilia: WTF jacob is the dad??

Me: i guess... he was talking to me in that video that girl posted

Vee: who is that account anyway!!!

Kat: i need donuts

Me: i don't know she followed me though

Lilia: she started following me too!

Vee: not me

Kat: yoo hoo

Me: maybe she's a girl at school?

Vee: it's got to be someone who was at that party

Kat: srsly... donuts... anyone?

Lilia: you should get a list of everyone who went to hunters party

Me: ok, i'll try

Kat: DONUTS SOMEONE!

Vee: kAT the pRoBlEm aT hAnD heRe

Kat: but i want donuts...
