Chapter 19

It's Monday morning and 6 am. Not my favorite time of the day. I walked into my bathroom that was connected to my room and brushed my teeth. I put on a pair of jeans and a pink long sleeve t-shirt. (Pictured Above In Media.) I walked downstairs and grabbed a bite to eat before heading out. I saw Mark already standing at the bus stop. I really didn't want to speak to him, but he looked like something was bothering him.

"Hey, Mark." I said while approaching him. "Hey." Mark replied back to me without moving his head. He had his hood up and hands in his jacket pockets. "Are you ok?" I asked him. "Leave me alone." Mark said, stepping onto the bus that had just pulled up. What is going on with him? I entered the bus and sat in my usual spot. Lilia came running back to me. "Hey, did you see?" I shook my head no. "Stacey isn't here!" She whispered-yelled. Lilia started happy dancing as I looked back. Hmm, guess she wasn't here. Maybe that's what Mark is sad about. His girlfriend not being here.

A few stops later, we arrived at Jacob's stop. Jacob got on and sat beside of me. He looked happier than usual. "Guess what!" Jacob said, sitting beside me. "Stacey wants me back!" I was happy for him, but at the same time I kind of wished we were actually dating. I liked the "dates" he took me on and the gifts he got me.

We were at the school before you knew it. I was happy for Jacob, but a little sad that we wouldn't be dating anymore. I guess the whole school heard about Jacob and I "breaking up" because whenever I walked in the school, all eyes were on me. Everyone was whispering and looking at me. "Just keep going. I'm sure they aren't even talking about you." Lilia whispered in my ear. I continued to walk to my locker, facing all the whispers.

I walked with Jacob to first period. Yes, we were still friends. It's not like we were crazy ex-lovers or something like that. I sat down and Jacob sat beside. "I can't decide where to take Stacey tonight." Jacob leaned over to me. "Anywhere she wants, I guess." I looked around me. Everyone was still whispering. Was it seriously that big of a deal that Jacob and I broke up?

At lunch I sat with my friends and Jacob. All of my friends were kind of awkward around me, thinking I just had a heartbreak or something. "Guys, it's ok. Jacob and I are still friends." It was as if you popped a balloon when I said that. They all let out a sigh and started spilling all of the gossip that had happened today. I laughed when Kat said that some dude had spit all over the teacher by accident today.

Lilia excused herself from the table halfway into our lunch. She didn't come back the whole time. I found it quite odd, but you never know. Maybe her lunch didn't settle well?

The rest of the class were the same old thing. Boring and unnecessary. Our last teacher let us out a few minutes early because we had a football game tonight. Jacob, Lilia, Kat, Vee, and I all walked together down to the field. I watched the cheerleaders running around frantically. They probably forgot something because Stacey isn't here. I've actually thought about trying out to be a cheerleader before, but I haven't because Stacey runs the cheer squad. The cheerleaders have never been without Stacey before, so this should be interesting.
