A true face

"Adelina, you told me that those beasts was also terrorizing your world" I asked her as I put away the coins. "Yes my lord" Adelina nodded making me focused on her as she speak and tell the origin of those creatures.

"It all happened one evening in a common pub in a small village just far from the city I was stationed. It was raining badly that time and I took the task of patrolling that village. As I arrived the village I heard some noises that sounds like fighting that is coming from the direction of the pub"

Pub

At the exact moment Adelina stepped her foot in the pub a man was tossed on a table breaking it. She used her spear to knock the wooden floor getting the attention of the other people making them halt, as they halt a man suddenly collapsed for he was hit with a bottle of rum at his head. One of Adelina's subordinates came in front and asked who started the fight and they pointed to a man laying on the floor. "Pick him up" Adelina ordered so her subordinates picked up the man with no hesitations. After her subordinates went out she proceed to the bartender asking if he knows a place they could stay for the Inn was already full. "Try the tavern two blocks away from here or the church near the bakery" the bartender told her. She then put money on the table making the bartender nod "You there! Lead the Soldiers to the Tavern to check for a room" a man walked towards the bartender. "He will be your guide" the man is shaking in front of Adelina as he walk towards the door of the pub.

As rain falls harder and heavier the streets starts to be zero visibility. The man who was leading them halt before them. "Something is wrong mister?" Adelina held the man shoulder when his head fell off causing Adelina and the others alarmed and got ready for any attacks. "Be cautious if you notice any monsters with razor sharp claws that is our attacker" Adelina raised her shield as the others do. "Ready your shields for anything!" suddenly one of her subordinates screamed and they saw a monster biting her shoulder as blood spilled. The other tried to save the victim but it was too late one of Adelina's subordinates perished before their eyes. The monster hid again in the rain as fog thickens, "We are in a huge disadvantage" one of her subordinates stepped backwards as he cowers. "Don't move!" but Adelina was late for that man lost his head even before Adelina could attack, as the monster flee she went after it with her subordinates. That is when she realized she is in the middle of the fog, she waves her spear shoving the thick fog around her as she saw another soldier's silhouette. As she approaches her foot hit something and when she looked down she saw a hand of a fellow soldier, seeing this she made a strong gust of wind with her shield shoving the fog. Revealing an unpleasant view, bodies are found on the ground, soldiers and villagers are all dead as monsters swarm the area.

"That was my first encounter with those creatures my lord" Adelina ended her story about how everything started in her world. "Then that is when many more appeared?" I asked her while looking to her eyes, "Yes my lord" Adelina paused. "Too many of those creatures started appearing and wrecking havoc all around my world" she continues. "What was the time I arrived home?" I asked her while scratching my head, "Around 2100H my lord" her answer made me look to the clock and saw it is 2348H already "Oh well Adelina I must hit the bed now for I have work tomorrow" I stood up and slowly went to my room leaving Adelina behind.

Inside Richard's room

Hearing her story made my body tremble again in fear of those vile beasts.

I can't hold my fear anymore from what is happening. It is really real, not a hallucination nor a dream. I acted tough long enough.

Suddenly I felt warmth in my body as I shiver in fear after I rest myself over my bed, thinking how fast things happened. Beasts appeared and almost killed me, saved by a person that I just knew for my entire life due to a game I play, she came from another world and I summoned her and now we are linked to one another. Everything is starting to pile up in my head for my act tough scene is not needed anymore, as I feel confused and frightened the warmer my body felt.

Another morning again, I am surprised that I am still alive. It is just 0300H and that means it is still early enough for me to play League of Legends and have breakfast! HOORAY ME!!

While I am playing some League of Legends my eyes suddenly distracted by a figure that is standing in front of the house. Causing me to scratch my eyes and check it again but the figure is no where to be found anymore. My eyes saw something more interesting, it is the full moon up in the sky.

I wonder how is my mother now? I hope she is just fine there in our house and enjoying her garden.

My mother is living in another place and enjoying her plot, the last time I saw her was last Christmas and she has a wonderful plot of veggies already. She send me some of her harvest from time to time saying I must cook veggies for Yna as well. The mobile signal in her current location is very weak so she is the one who calls and not me. I bet if she would meet Adelina she will be shocked for I never brought another woman in my house.

Being lost in thoughts, I felt something strange around me but I tried to ignore it and just checked the time. Being shocked for it is already 0500H I hurried down to prepare some breakfast for me and for Adelina.
