Jasmine Pov

"I'm an uncle?" His words sounded confused and bitter. Ethan's eyes were ref and puffy. I gave him a hug and made sure he was ok.

"I know where she is at." He looked up at me and his eyes said what was on his mind.

"Where is she we NEED to go now!" Ethan jumped to his feet started to walk down the hill.

"ETHAN slow down my legs can't go that fast." He ran to where I was and through me over his shoulder. He started to run again. When he stopped we were at his hotel room.

"What are we going to do? I mean Ethan we can't just go to New Hampshire!" 

"Why not Jasmine? You said you wanted to run away so we have to do this now!" Ethan was throwing all his stuff into a bag and grabbing big stacks of money from under the bed. I went over to him and grabbed his hands and held them to my chest.

"WE will leave tomorrow morning ok?" I looked into his eyes and I could see that he was on the verge of having an emotional break down.

"She needs me I should have been there for her... She should have never been through that... if I hadn't ran towards the gun man she would be ok." He laid on the bed and I did as well. WE laid there until I broke the silence once again.

"Ethan?"  I heard no answer but the soft sound of his breath hitting the pillow. I got up from the bed and he grabbed my forearm I turned back and he was staring at me eyes wide open.

"Can you stay I don't want anything to happen to you. It's dark.." I really just wanted to go to the bathroom I was not going anywhere.

"I just needed to use the bathroom I texted my grandma and told her that I was staying at a friends house." He let go and I went to the bathroom. I wonder what's going to happen to my grandma. I am the one who takes care of her we look out for each other. When I leave she will be all alone. 

Ethan's Pov

When it was morning  we were on our way we left around five and Jasmine got all of her stuff. She told her grandma that she was going to school and that I was her lab partner. We got to the airport and took a plane to New Hampshire. Mind you we live in California it was a five hour flight.

"Carmen I can't believe that you have a kid and you live in New Hampshire."  I heard a baby start to cry and I knew it was my niece. Carmen squatted to the floor were her car seat sat. She picked up the baby and held her saying "Mommy's here marilyn it's ok." and with that she calmed the baby down.

"Ethan this is your niece Marilyn." The baby has green eyes and tan colored skin. Carmen put her baby in my arms and she fidgeted in my arms till finding a place to lay and she fell into a deep sleep. 

"Let's get to my house before she wakes up." Carmen grabbed the car seat and we were on our way. When we got to the house it was a one family home with three bedrooms, attic and a basement. There was only one guest room because Marilyn had her own room. Jasmine decide to sleep with Carmen and I slept in the guest room.
