Today I get my last pay check and then I am out of this hell hole. I need to leave I just have to flee the states and have a better life. I mean everyone wants this. Is it so much to ask?
Five days later
"Ethan we have to catch the next train if we don't we'll never get to Barcelona!" We have been sitting here for nearly two hours. I have to feed Marilyn so I just do out in the open. I honestly thought he was gonna stay in the States.
Jasmine Pov
I hate the last few days. It has been exactly 5 days all I can think about is Ethan. I was locked in this room for my "safety". My father said that a war is about to start and this time I can't be seen and/or heard of it's bad. As if he really cares I know he doesn't. His words haunt me "I had to" and "I will punish you too." He acts as though rape has a justification. What if the rival gang takes me? Will I be just like Carmen there toy? Any ways from the looks of it I don't know if there is an escape. Everyday they bring food so that could be my break through but how am I gonna get past Matthew.
Carmen Pov
Being in Barcelona is not what I thought. Life here is hard, I speak Spanish but it's like completely different. My father is Puerto Rican so was my mother. I don't know but me and Ethan are struggling speaking wise. Overall I love it here I feel as though the wind and breeze can finally touch my skin. The nightmares are still vivid. My hands shake and I hate the parts of my body that he's touched. Sometimes it's hard to connect with Marilyn she looks so much like him. Her nose and eyes are so simular to him but everything else is me her laugh, hair, color. I hope he doesn't find her but if he does he'll have to kill me first.
