Jasmine Pov

Three days past and I was just wondering when I was going to see Ethan again.  His tall strong figure was all I dreamed about. When I first saw him he followed me to the secretary  desk and from there I am pretty sure you know how it went. I totally messed what was going extremely well. I had to give him a hug and now I invited Marc another awkward moment we share. The real question is why is it awkward we barely know each other and Marc is my best friend. So we are all just sitting at the table not talking just looking at each other for no reason. Until Marc breaks the silence. 

"So how is this going to work  Jazzy?" Does he have to insist on calling me that in front of Ethan.

" Like it does every month Marc. We will be divided into sections and will have a pile of boxes. After we are done with the boxes we will pass them out individually to everyone." I look over th Ethan he looks like he is not at ease. I just had to ask.

"Hello there everything ok?" I ask each part of my body language should every piece of my concern. My eyes gave him every part of me without him asking.

"Um... I am fine I just need to leave right now. Text or call me the time and address I will be there you got my word." With that he got up and left. I had to follow to see if he was ok if I did something. Marc grabbed my arm and pulled me back.

"You can't fix everything. Jasmine let him go." I pulled my arm back and sat back down.

"I never wanted to fix anything thing I just wanted to make sure he was ok." 

"Look you know I love you with all my heart. I don't know why we are not together." I look at Marc deep into his eyes and wonder why aren't we together? He is perfect very good looking, kind, smart everything a girl would want but he is just not for me. I know he loves me and I him but, I can never love him like he does me. I don't feel that type of love towards him. We have known each other our whole lives but it is just not enough for me. 

Ethan's Pov

I had to get out of there I could not stand the thought of me not being hers I need her to be mine. I can't hide what I am feeling. I don't even know her and I have this deep lust for her. When she is around me I feel as though in slow motion like the world has stopped and I am whole again. She is the sun in my universe the stars in my galaxy. How could I feel this way towards a girl I just met. When I get to my freak show of a home I run up the stairs towards my room. I feel a hand hit my shoulder and my body knew who it was and hated him with each and every cell within. 

"Hey son, I need you to do something for me." This is not good but when is it ever?

"what now sir?" I turn around and face the huge man in front of me. My dad was six foot four and pure muscle. I feel short next to him and I am six feet tall. I am only fourteen I still have time to grow. 

"I need you to run the drop off today." This was one of the first times I have ran the drop off. I always go though.

"Why isn't Truck running it from now on?" I was acting like I did not care but I have seen what my dad does to the people who betray him.

"He has been shot and is intensive care." I can see what you can call pain in his eyes almost suddenly his eyes change quick showing no emotion. 

"oh.. wow are you sure you want me to go it might be dangerous and you know what happened last time when they found out." By they I mean the Ratas  are rival. Their leader planned to have me killed. That's when I got shot at twice only one filled it's purpose.

"HEY what did I tell you about that!" My father yelled in his deep loud tone. 

"Sir, you said the past stays in the past it does not effect us. How can my past not effect me when they have her he told me. How can I not be effected when mom left because you couldn't pull your own weight!" I yelled at the top of my lungs and the look on my fathers face was one I learned to never forget. Next thing I know I was knocked out on the floor and woke up in my room a day later. When I woke up I packed a bag making sure not to make a sound. I went to the bathroom my face painted with black and blue bruises. My eyes looked dark and soulless. I don't want to be here anymore I have to save her and she needs me I know she is alive.
