Ethan's Pov 

I am on my way to the nearest hotel. The words "so do I" linger in my mind playing over and over like a broken record. Tomorrow comes and I can't wait to get to the church. My heart races every step I take makes me feel closer to her. I remember her touch and the softness of her lips on mine. As I was walking I saw a familiar man outside of the church. When I got closer I knew exactly who he was the leader of the Ratas. They must have found out that I ran away from home. I hide behind the bush and look in all directions. I see no car or unusual men. I see Jasmine go into the church and every inch of my body had a rush of adrenaline. I was about to run but, something was off. She went up to the man and hugged him. This must be a mistake. They pull away and he lays a kiss on her forehead.

Jasmine Pov

When I walked into the church and saw my dad I was so happy. I hadn't seen my dad in over two months. Sometimes I wonder if my grandma knows of my dads work.

"Daddy what are you doing here?" I ask not wanting him to say it.

"Well nut, I have to tell you I am going to be a daddy again." My heart sinks and I want to know if I am being abandoned does he even care about me anymore?

"What do you mean. You got a girl pregnant? How well I know how but what the heck dad!" I am so angry right now but I maintain to keep my cool.

"I mean you are going to be a big sister." He says coldly and I stop thinking of myself but for my sibling.

"So how is it going to be this kid is going to live with grandma and me? We are still going to only see you every month or so? Or are we going to be an actual family?" I say with tears flowing down my eyes I don't want this life for anyone. I saw my dad shoot more than ten people. I've seen what this "business" does to people. My mother died of a drug overdose. I found her in the bathtub with a needle in her arm. Her body life less her soul gone.

"Look nut the baby will live with it's mother and I so will you." I look to the side and see Ethan hiding in the bush.

"What?! Dad what about grandma?" I was just being torn into pieces right now.

"She will be fine nut."

"No I don't want to leave her ok?"

"It's not your choice I am the parent not you!" My father states sternly.

"I am not going. Be with your new family and leave me here with mine!" I yell and run into the church straight to the bathroom. Of course he follows.

"Nut I will pick you up next Saturday ok?" I nod and he goes away.

Ethan's Pov

Once I saw him leave I made my way into the church. Jasmine was sitting on the couch. She looked awful her eyes were red and she was just crying. I walk over to her and sit down. She looks into my eyes and continues to cry. I move over and push in my chest for a warm embrace.

"What's wrong Jaz?" She sniffles then being to talk.

"I am moving next Saturday." My heart melted at the thought of maybe never seeing her again.

"U-um... where?" I try to play it off but how could I?

"I am moving to Mort's Ville." That is one the other side of town!

"Why are you moving?"

"My father wants me to be included in his new family life. I am going to be a big sister. The thing is I thought that he was not seeing away one."

"That has to be hard because of your mom and all."

"I guess but I don't want to go with him not after what he does." I think she is going to tell me that he's one of the top drug lords and is the leader of the Ratas. Should I tell her about my father?

"do you mean?" She leans in and stays close to my ear.

"Come with me. I can't tell you here." She grabs my hand and leads the way.

"What about the food drive?"

"This was never about the food drive." She turns to face me stepping on her tiptoes and lays a kiss on my lips.
