Mr. Mayhem looked at the class list and called out a name of a student. He walked up on stage, said his name and the monologue he would be presenting. The class yawned since usually these kind of things were boring. I could especially agree.

Unfortunately for the quiet boy who had just got up on stage, he had already set himself up for embarrassment. Those who had Mr. Mayhem's drama class last year knew and some even learned it the awkward and yet still hilarious way. This year seemed different, two weeks in and we all had been on the stage before (at least once) and we hadn't seen Mr. Mayhem do his techniques on the quiet ones.

The boy on stage mumbled his name and his monologue. No one really bothered to try hearing because of his inaudible tone of voice. Mr. Mayhem got up and walked toward the stage before the boy could continue. I had a slight assumption SOMETHING was gonna happen, whether he was gonna whisper "Speak louder" to him as an ironic joke, or if he would grab a prop and do something crazy with it to somehow represent speak louder, or even if he would simply grab a paper with the words "SPEAK UP" on it and wave it in their face and silently walk away as if nothing happened. But no, this time was special and when he asked the question every previous drama student of his class knows that it's about to get interesting.

"Do you have a sister or brother" Mr. Mayhem asked.

"Yeah...A sister..." the shy boy said.

"How old?" he asked again, continuing his interrogation to build up his scheme to his final plan.

"Like....9..." the boy mumbled.

"So...Like 9? Okay and does she have a name?" he asked once more.

"Lily" the boy stated.

"And do you like Lily at all?" Mr. Mayhem asked for the final time.

"Yeah, I guess..." he awkwardly replied.

"GOOD! So, imagine this. Your mom and dad left you in charge of Lily and if anything bad happens to her you will be in SERIOUS trouble. And Lily is walking in the road with earbuds in and there's a bus coming..." The whole class giggled knowing that this was his special and hilarious tactic, "...You need to warn Lily that there is a bus coming. It should sound something like LILY LOOK OUT THERE'S A BUS COMING!" he continued as he sat in his theatrical style chair and waited for him to yell at the imaginary sister about to get hit by a nonexistent bus.

"LiLy! Look out THERE's a BUS!" the boy tried to say somewhat loudly, but not loud enough.

"Oh no! Lily got hit by a bus!" Mr. Mayhem exclaimed. The class bursted into laughter as everyone was rolling in their chairs. The boy awkwardly and correctly did it, did his monologue and exited the stage and sat back down.
