Randhir eyed Sanyukta suspiciously as she stood at a distance from the machines and mechanically explained everything. This was so unlike Sanyukta. She was someone who would personally and practically explain the working of the machine. And for some strange reason, she kept flinching.
Sanyukta could very well feel Randhir's gaze on her and that made her more nervous.
She took out a handkerchief from the pocket of her pencil dress and wiped her forehead. Kishore looked on worriedly. He wanted to step in but didn't as it might give the wrong impression of his daughter. Randhir stood calmly with his palms in his trousers pocket. He observed Sanyukta carefully. She fidgeted with her wristwatch. Her gaze met Randhir and he kept looking at her with a straight face. But for some reason, Sanyukta felt him smirk and she got a strange confidence.
I am not going to give you the satisfaction of affecting me - Sanyukta thought with determination.
She got better after that. Even after two years Randhir somehow managed to motivate her, like always.
After about half an hour later, they were about to complete the tour when Sanyukta's phone rang. She didn't want to pick up the call but glanced at the screen. It was from the hospital. Sanyukta got slightly worried thinking about Parth. Randhir noticed her changing expressions and frowned. She looked up at everyone.
'Sorry, this is important. I will have to take this. Mr. Agarwal will take over.' She looked at her father. Kishore nodded. He adjusted his coat and walked towards his daughter and stood beside her. Randhir frowned harder watching the father-daughter nod at each other. Then, Sanyukta hurriedly left. She picked up the call as she walked away. Randhir turned and watched her go.
Who could it be? Must be someone special that is why she left such an important meeting in between. A boyfriend? Husband? - Randhir's mind became restless again and he couldn't focus on the rest of the meeting.

Shekawat Mansion,
Randhir looked at the bungalow with tears glistening in his eyes. Much to his irritation.
He stood in front of the main gate and contemplated if he should go in or not. He took a moment to decide. If he has come this far he should go in. Randhir pushed open the gate and entered. A long pavement led to the bungalow. Randhir looked around and felt his heart sink on seeing dead plants and dry leaves. The Bungalow used to have a lively garden, the only thing that used to make Randhir cheerful. He sighed sadly and looked front at the bungalow. This was the place he had spent half his life yet there was no feeling of coming home. He walked through the gloomy dead garden wondering why has he even come here?
TING TONG...
Randhir felt his heart beginning to beat faster as he waited for someone to open the door. Who would open the door? He isn't expecting Renuka Saniyal. Maybe Kaka. The door opened and Randhir inhaled deeply.
'Arey, Randhir baba.' An elderly man smiled wearily at him. He adjusted his glasses and squinted his eyes. He took a moment to make sure if it was Randhir. His smile widened.
'What a surprise? Come in.' He stepped aside and gestured him to come inside. Randhir nodded and entered.
'I will get you tea.' Kaka said happily. Randhir nodded looking around while removing his coat. He heard hurried footsteps and saw Kaka scurrying towards the kitchen. A small smile appeared on his lips.
