Face claim for Laylah up above^^ closest thing I could find. Laylah has few different things about her.

It was March 22 and I was sitting with my family celebrating my long awaited 16th birthday.

I adjusted the oxygen tube that ran over my ears and under my nose, my family all sitting at the long, dark cherry wood dining table waiting for me to blow out those candles.

I shot my mother a smile who was sitting directly in front of me before I took a deep breath and weakly blew out those few candles of the dark chocolate and strawberry flavored birthday cake.

My mother started the clapping then my two brothers and sister joined in. The corners of my mouth curled upwards as I looked over at my siblings.

"Thanks guys." I said softly as my mother worked at cutting slices of cake.

"Oh your so welcome Laylah!" My sister, said cheerfully as she stood up and kissed my head.

Anna my sister was the oldest, she was 21 and was rarely home anymore. She was gorgeous with long black hair and piercing golden brown eyes she was, sweet, funny, and I was everything opposite.

My brother who was also next to me gave my shoulders a squeeze, he was careful with my oxygen tube but I didn't mind as I tried to hug him back. "Your getting so old!" He teased looking at me.
The next one down was Nathan he was 20. He was built like a runner, all legs and thin. He had brown hair and golden brown eyes as well.He was the clown of the family although he was rarely home also.

I looked over at my brother, Matthew, who was not paying any real attention to me, he was standing at a large window looking out into the woods as the rain poured down against our house. He was 18 and tall, he was very muscular for 18 and he has a full tattoo sleeve on his left arm.

I rarely heard him speak. Now I'm quite most of the time but my brother Matthew... he was REALLY quite.

Matthew was the only one in the living room, the rest of my family for some strange reason were whispering and arguing in the next room over. I was confused but I looked down at my small pale hands a waited for them to come back.

As I admired my dark purple finger nails that I painted yesterday my mother came back into the room with a smile on her face.

"Sorry for the wait, Anna and Nathan were simple causing problems in the kitchen." my mother shot them this side glare that would have sent shivers down my back, but I was more focused on my cake.

"It's fine mom, thanks for the cake." I replied quietly as I took the long silver fork and cut into that beautiful dark chocolate cake. I lifted it to my light pink lips and took a bite. Just as I swallowed my mother and siblings were starting into their tiny pieces of cake.

My family barely ate anything, we rarely had dinner together but when we did they all ate like little birds.

I stopped at the top of the stairs to hunch over and catch my breath, I just had to drag my oxygen tank up so many frickin stairs.

Damn lungs.

I usually had Matthew help me carry my oxygen tank but him, Nathan, Anna and my Mom all scurried out of the house mere moments before hand and they would give me no clue as to where they were going.

I finally caught my breath and although I felt light headed I had no problem walking down a long hall to get to my bedroom. Once there I turned the bronze door nob and walked into my large room.
