Raven's man up above^^ isn't he beautiful??

I drove through town and once I passed the main part of town I kept going, soon I came to this red line spray painted across the road and as I drove over it I knew I passed into the Southside territory.

Raven lived on the very edge of town so I kept going, the road began winding through the mountainous terrain. The Southside of town had a few of their own stores but all the land was very wooded and a lot was farm land.

The Northside had the school, town hall, police department. Everything.

I came to a narrow dirt road and I turned after a short drive I pulled up to this small brick house that had a rustic white barn sitting next to the house. There was a large field in the distance that Raven's family owned. The property was a very quaint and rustic little place.

After I shut off my truck I collected my things and got out. I walked towards their simple but sturdy front door, I stretched my clenched fist to knock but before I had a chance to Raven swung the door open.

"Hey girl! Glad you came." Raven had her leather jacket tied around her waist and she was wearing this super cute red top with ripped black jeans.

"Thanks for inviting me, it feels so good to get out. I was driving slow and enjoying the scenery." I smiled and walked into their little house, it was way smaller than my house but I loved it.

After setting my bags in Raven's room we went and sat outside on the back porch. It was late March and we were having pretty good weather lately.

"So have you decided about school tomorrow?" Raven looked over at me she had so much pleading in her eyes.

"Well, after tasting this little freedom I want more. I think I'll come tomorrow."

"Yay! Girl your gonna love it! Wanna borrow some of my clothes. So you fit in more with the Southside group?"

I drew a blank face as I thought about it. I liked my clothes, I dressed in simple and comfortable clothes but I didn't want to look out of place.

"Um, sure. Nothing to...exposing though." I smiled at her and she nodded seeming to totally understand.

As we sat and talked I heard a motorcycle pull up the driveway it confused me a bit as I was curious who else had come.

"Hey Raven someone is-" before I could finish Raven seemed to already have heard them as she was running off the back porch and heading for the front yard.

I sat there in silence for I swear the longest five minutes of my life. I propped my elbow on the arm of the chair and sighed.

Where is she! I don't like being alone, I feel so vulnerable.

Just as my mind started to wander Raven came back onto the deck hand in hand with what I guessed was her new man. But this guy looked more like a god from Olympus.

He was probably 6'2 and was Asian American he was pretty tan though which I didn't understand since we just came out of winter. He had medium length black hair and I'm pretty sure I caught a glimpse of a tattoo cover his bicep. He was very muscular and his jaw line. Oh. It could cut right through someone, it probably was cutting right through me.

"Laylah! Girl you there?" I snapped out of my daze to look up at Raven she was smiling this truly genuine smile as if she was completed somehow near this man.
