After maybe five minutes a very shocked looking Raven came thundering into the room, she looked different though, her hair was now short and curly and her skin seemed much darker like she had been tanning recently.
How long have I been out? You can't usually tan in March.
I felt a little confused but I snapped back to the present as Raven was hugging me, hot tears dripping onto my shoulder.
"I can't believe your awake!" Raven croaked out before leaning back to look at me. She whipped tears away from her face as she sat on the edge of my bed, this beautiful and incredibly joyous smile plastered on her face.
"Water please." Was the only thing I could whisper out and she nodded quickly running out of the room and returning with a water bottle in like one minute flat. I took the water from her and after sucking down almost half of it I began to feel like talking.
"What happened to me? And where am I?" I asked quietly, looking around the room a little more, the bedroom door was slightly ajar and I could hear some whispering and mumbling from outside in the hall.
How many people were listening in on me and my best friend?
"Well... you became pretty violently ill, and we couldn't keep you at your house so we moved you here. Where we could take better care of you and keep you safe."
"Okay, thanks. But where exactly is 'here'?"
I didn't remember much to be honest, the only thing that was etched in my mind was my parents and that horrible blood savage wolf standing in front of them.
"Well...um...how do I explain this." Raven simply looked down at her lap and mumbled some stuff under her breath, I was getting a little angry though as I needed some damn answers!
We both snapped our heads up to the door to see my brother Matthew stroll into the room, I smiled at him and although his face screamed many emotions including sadness, anger, and maybe guilt he did award me with a small smile before giving me a slightly too tight of a hug.
"Hey there, glad to see your awake. You've been giving us a fright for the last four months."
My jaw dropped open at Matthew's words and I saw Raven slap her forehead and groan clearly she didn't want me knowing how long I had been asleep.
"I'm sorry, four months? I've been out cold for that long!"
I yelled in the end of my sentence and it made Raven jump off my bed and Matthew took half a step backwards. I didn't realize how angry I sounded but I quickly tried to recollect and calm my thoughts down.
"I'm sorry, but why in the hell on God's green earth would I be out for that long. I need some fu-. I mean... please can I have some answers."
I took a deep breath trying to calm myself down midsentence before I blew a head gasket, I don't know why I was feeling so angry and stirred up but it wasn't like me to get so angry over little things.
"I'm not giving you any answers right now. You can't know anything yet Laylah. So go clean up and come downstairs. We are moving you again soon."
Matthew suddenly became very stern and aggressive sounding so I simply nodded slowly, I was ticked off still and he could see it all over my face but instead of arguing with me more he walked out of the room, slamming the door shut behind him.
"Come on Laylah, let's get you to the bathroom for a shower."
Raven came over and pulled away all those blankets, the cool air seemed to slap at my bare legs sending a shiver to come across my body. I was wearing a simple white nightgown that stopped right above the knees.
