Raven faceclaim ^^

I couldn't seem to breath as I saw someone lurking in the shadows of the entrance to the dining room I backed up until I ended up hitting a chair on the table, I started to get a cold sweat as I felt this persons eyes stare at me. I opened my mouth to yell but all that came out was a big pile of nothing.

Just then the person leaped into the light. I gasped and grabbed my chest.

"Holy shit Raven! Why would you do that!"

I sighed a breath of relief as my best friend came into the light, she scared me half to death though. It was like a new joy and warmth showered me now that I knew who had been lurking in those shadows.

"Aww girl! I love giving you a fright! Besides I've been texting you all day and you haven't answered so I figured I'd stop by."

Raven sat herself down at the table and propped her feet up on the table, she shot me her classic smirk then continued looking around the room while she awaited my answer.

"Sorry, after I celebrated with my family I fell asleep. I haven't looked at my phone all day."

"Well sheesh, good thing I wasn't dying or anything." Raven glanced my way but her eyes landed on my McDonalds dinner.

I knew what she was looking at so I moved my meal down to sit next to her and I tossed her one of my burgers. She practically swallowed that sandwich whole before I got a chance to even unwrap my chicken sandwich.

"I'll be right back, I need some water." Raven proceeded to get her boots off the table and went to the kitchen to get herself a glass of water. Although Raven was rarely here she seemed to know where everything was.

No kidding you need some water, you swallowed half my dinner like a savage wolf.

I worked on my own chicken sandwich and by the time Raven came back I was crumbling that wrapper and tossing it into the McDonalds bag.

"So how is the outside world, I haven't been out in forever." I leaned back in my chair and looked at my friend. I adjusted my oxygen tubes a little as they always felt so strange resting there on my freckled face.

Raven was about as tall as me she was around 5'9 and was African American, or as she likes to say. Black. She was very muscular and had long black hair that she would oil and straiten almost everyday. She dressed in normally reds or black but no matter what she did or what she was wearing she had on this super cute leather jacket that had a large crescent moon on the back that had a blood red name on the bottom that said Raven.

"Oh, where to start! I have been hating school as usual, been dodging my parents when I can and I met a guy."

She tried to slip that last part in as if it was casual but I caught it and quickly began teasing her.

"Aww Raven has a new man! Didn't see that happening! You MUST tell me all about this new bed mate of yours." I leaned forward and rested my elbows on the table I had this stupid giddy look on my face and I could just tell it was driving Raven up a wall.

"Jeez Laylah aren't you all excited? And he isn't my bed mate! Although he would be mighty fine in bed." Raven giggled and had this horrible grin on her face. Let's just say Raven was no virgin, or saint, or even graduate. She was 18 and still finishing high school.

"Hey I'm happy for you but I need to meet this guy, you need my stamp of approval. And if you gonna get down per say. Please protection." I gave my long hair a little flip with the hand and Raven couldn't help but laugh.
