Alright...short update before my terrible awful shitty bad week starts. I don't mean to be a pesimist, but I can't deny it's not going to be that great lol. I'll try to update ASAP! <333

Scott’s POV

Mitch had been skipping school for the past week and he wasn’t answering his text messages…Kirstie kept reassuring me he was fine but something in my gut told me otherwise.

I walked out of school on a Thursday afternoon, hugging my black and white hoodie close to my body as I made my way to my car.

“Scottayyyy!”

I turned around to see Steven heading his way towards me. I immediately straightened up as he came over and pushed me onto the ground.

“What the fuck, man!”

“Get up!” He said.

I started to get up and he pushed me again. As I hit the concrete he started laughing again. Kids from school started gathering around to watch the anticipated fight. I jumped up and took him by surprise as I twisted his arm around his back and held him to me. He yelped out in pain as I kept his back to my chest and held his arm in place.

It was the same move I used all the time, but it worked. That…and it was the only one I really knew, but they didn’t need to know that…

I pushed Steven onto the ground and backed up. He stood up and smiled over at me, “Been spending a lot of time with Kirstie, haven’t you?”

I had the urge to laugh out loud, but I held it in. “What?” I said back.

I saw Grace and Ally come to the front of the crowd, followed by Jamie. “I SAID…” Now Steven was just putting on a show to entertain the growing crowd. “Were you spending time with my girlfriend, Scotty?!”

People starting “Ooooo”ing me in the crowd and I rolled my eyes. “Are you fucking serious?” I yelled back at the guy.

Steven and I didn’t have issues until he became friends with Keith. There was no past history; he was just trying to impress the little fucker to get in with his “gang”.

Steven ran towards me and I jumped out of the way last second, sending him into a pole. People started laughing around me and I backed up the other way. Grace came up behind me and leaned up to whisper in my ear. “Good, good, next time make sure his head hits it first.” She playfully bit my earlobe and went back into the crowd.

I laughed and shook my head and he stood up again, red from embarrassment and anger.

“What’s going on out here?!” Principal Johannas, a terrible looking woman with a shrill voice, came out and started breaking up the crowd. Steven walked in the other direction and she came up behind me. “Mr. Hoying!”

I turned to her.  she put her fists onto her hips and started tapping her foot.

“I don’t want a repeat of your brother!” She stuck her long, bony finger in my face and I nodded and gave the most innocent smile I could.

She turned and started back into the building. I turned to see Steven had disappeared and I walked over to grab my bag off the ground.

“You should have taken out the trash.” I turned to see Ally standing behind me with her books in her hands. “I hate him.”

“Me too, Alligator.” I said sadly.

“I’m going to find Kirstie…I don’t want that anger coming out on her.” She said sadly before walking away to her car.
