Mitch's POV

White lights...

Is this heaven?

The lights are hot...

Is this hell?

"Mitchell..."

God?

"Mitchell you're in the hospital."

What? No!

"We're going to take care of you, don't worry."

No! No!!!!

Suddenly the sounds came rushing into my ears. I opened my eyes ever so slightly to see a nice looking doctor looking down at me. "Alright, he's with us! Get him to surgery!" He yelled out as I began shutting my eyes again. The bed rushed as the two nurses pushed it along, one on the side of me and one from the back. Things went black again.

"Mitchell, stay with us!" His voice faded out.

---

My mouth was so dry...and these lights were so hot...where was I now? Was I really in heaven? ...would my mouth be dry in heaven? Hell?

I started opening my eyes but immediately had to snap them back shut. I tried lifting my arm, but pain shot up my arm and made me wince. Both arms were wrapped tightly to the point where I couldn't even lift them up. I groaned when I realized what was happening.

You failed.

You're alive.

And now everyone is going to be involved.

"Mom..." I called out, but there was no one in the room with me. Where were my parents? I wanted my Mom!

Silence answered me back and I felt my eyes start filling with tears. "Why..." I muttered out.

Scott's POV

The waiting room was quiet. None of us knew what to do or how to react.

Kirstie sat on the side of me with tear stained cheeks. She hadn't said anything in over two hours now. Ally sat to the left of the room with a soda in front of her. She had her head down most of the time. Grace sat on the opposite end of the room from me. She was the one who found him.

After Ally brought Kirstie and I home, Grace asked if they could stop over Mitch's once again. Grace was the one who went upstairs and found him in the bathtub. She knew what to do...she'd found her Mom like that once before. She tourniqueted his wrists and waited for 911.

That phone call...was the worst thing I've ever had happen in my entire life.

---

I waved lightly to Mike as I entered my bedroom and shut the door quietly behind me. I took my cellphone out of my pocket and shot Mitch a text.
