//we meet again/ Part one

*Maddies pov*

I couldn't believe my eyes or ears for that matter. Demitri was cousins with pixie and Bestfriends with Kevin. Does erik know? Omg. As I was contemplating this, demitri smiled and turned to pixie. 

"I suppose you two have some business to disguss." he said before everyone left the room but pixie, but not before michael gave me one stern look.

I looked at pixie demandingly. I was going to get some answers. And now. I mean I know me and pixie weren't close close like me and Elena but we were still supposed friend nonetheless. Pixie chucked a little to herself before she stood up and walked around the room slowly, toying with random items here and there.

"so niave... To actually think someone like me would be friends with someone like you. I mean had you not seen the resemblene between me and dem?" she asked as she circled me.

Now that I actually thought about it, they did look alike. Why didn't I notice this before? I mentally cursed myself. Pixie gave a humorless laugh.

"feel stupid ehh? I would too. But you really want to hear something? Remember that little incident that occurred last year? Yeah I planned that out. Demitri just happened to be the one who I thought would be perfect for the role. See i had everything planned, I mean you were always the one in the limelight. The one who every single guy wanted to go out with. The one girls envy. Everything. The one Matt is in love with I mean come on?! Where's the light for me?! So I had to come up with a plan. I had demitri come to the school that day and scare you. Whatever he did was his own thing but I wanted him to hurt you. To make you pay for the things you took from me. But then that stupid boy Erik showed up and complicated things. And I guess at first your friend was too busy screwing her teacher boyfriend to meet up with you like planned. I had to come up with a new plan and I knew that michael here was like sickly infatuated with you, like almost crazyily infatuated with you and just knew...just knew that I had came up with my plan b." she said stopping to stare out the window in the room over looking nothing in particular but a few trees and grass.

"I guess you can say that I was following you around per say, but when I saw you and that girl go in that mall I had to call Michael and have him over here quickly. Word had gone about, about the party erik's parents house and what's the better opportunity other than having michael bump into you at the mall and stuff. I hoped that you would ask as a date seeing as I knew you. I knew you liked Erik. I heard Elena talking about him and how she sensed you liked him. I knew you would want to make him jealous because that's the type of person you are, you make people want you. Want to be with or like you. I was right and well you know the rest." she said smiling as she sat down on the couch again and leaned back.

"what I didn't know was how far Matt would go to get you back. And well, you see I can't have that. So when I leave here...I'm going to have a bulletproof fabricated story and there going to forget all about precious little maddie waddie. Wanna hear it?" she chirped.

I vaguely noticed that my facial expression was disgusted. I can't believe that she was behind this the whole time.

"oh my gosh guys! I knew I should have called you and stuff but I was in the heat of the moment...and...and I just... I had the choice of following or locating you guys and blowing my cover so I followed. I found out exactly where maddie is located! But...it's too late. She's gone! The bastard killed her! Killed her!" the girl in front of me screamed and she was literally crying tears. If I hadn't known better I would've believed her myself. And of course it wasn't me she was talking about.

I frowned and then thought about everything she just said. Wait a second...

"are you in love with Matt?" I asked.

Pixie faltered before regaining her composure.

"no." she stated coolly. But I knew better. I now knew the real reason why she was doing this. She was jealous because Matt would never feel the same way about her.

I laughed.

"you're crazy you know that? He's never going to love you back. Never going to feel the same way that you feel for him. I didn't ask for him to love me." I stated as if she were stupid. She glared at me and I thought the cliched line of if looks could kill.

She stood up slowly and walked right up to my face.

"what did you just say?" she asked slowly.

I raised my eyebrows.

"I think we all both know you heard very clearly what I just said." I said.

Clearly that wasn't the answer she was looking for...
