Ella's POV

The very next morning, Lucy came and woke me up. I yawned at least five times as Lucy help pick out a nice dress for me.

After a few minutes, she pulled out a green gown. It had long, green sleeves that went to my elbows and a round neckline. With small silver wavy lines stitched along the edge. The lines looked like steams with leaves. The dress was pretty plain, other than that. It was just the way I liked it! Lucy waited outside my door as I changed and I met her out there once I was done. Lucy escorted me to the dining hall. At first, I thought it would be a long walk to the hall, but it was surprisingly very close. As I entered the dining hall, my jaw dropped.

The room was magnificently large. There was a long table that was right in the middle of it. There were many pillars in the room and each of them had a flag with a lion on it which I guessed was Aslan. On the table lay several silver plates that had the most delicious looking food that I had ever seen in my life.

I better get used to it if I'm going to be here for a while.

There were many chairs that lined along the table. Only four were occupied. The High King Peter was in the chair that was next to the chair at the head of the table. I guessed that he didn't sit there unless there was a big meeting. Susan sat across from him and Edmund sat by his older brother. Lucy and I walked up to the table and greeted everyone. Lucy took a seat next to Edmund and I was directed to sit next to Susan.

Thank you, Lucy. I do not want to sit by him.

Edmund started scowling at me and Lucy poked his ribs.

Control Ella. He's been through a lot. Try not to start another war with a king.

I ignored his harsh stares and we all proceeded on with breakfast. We prayed and then ate the wonderful food. The food was so delicious; I had never tasted anything like it in my life.

"So, Ella," Peter said, "Did you sleep well last night?"

"Yes. As well as I could sleep in my very first night in another world" I replied.

After breakfast, Peter and his brother Edmund headed for some meeting. That just left Susan, Lucy, and me. Both queens decided to show me around the castle and help me meet everyone else. I was surprised at the different types of servants of Cair Paraval. I was expecting to meet normal human begins. I thought most would be humans, even though Mr. Tumnus and Mr. Beaver were not. Before we could explore more and meet everyone else, Susan had to leave to go to a meeting with a prince of another land.

The prince of Calormen will be expecting me" Susan replied. She didn't seem very happy about going. "Lucy. While I'm gone I want you to be in charge of the upcoming ball." Lucy simply nodded and after Susan said goodbye, Lucy and I went into a sitting room. I told Lucy everything about the 21st century. Lucy was very fascinated by it. But she was also a little upset that she would never see that time. Still, the little queen was so curious about technology in our world that both of us talked for hours.

"Lucy?" I asked "Where is the library? If it alright with you, I want to read some Narnia tales."

"That's fine! I have to help prepare everything and everyone for the ball that is coming up in a month. The library is down that hallway and the third door the right." She pointed me in one direction and went the other.

I started walking down the long hallway. I came to the doors that lead to the library. I noticed the doors were already open.

That's weird. Maybe the wind blew it open. Just in case, I cautiously entered the huge room. It seemed deserted. The whole room probably had about a million of books, since there were shelves that reached the ceiling. The room reminded me of the great library in Beauty and the Beast. I laughed to myself at how a library from a different world could be so similar to a library from a fairy tale of my world.

I walked up to a shelf and picked up a random book: Dragons: Foe or Friends? That would be a interesting read, I thought. But I'll read it later.

As I placed the book back onto the shelf, I heard a voice that startled me. "If you're going to be in here, you could at least close the doors after you enter." I turned to the left to see Edmund coming near me. He had a book in his hand.

When did he get here?

I looked behind him and saw a sofa hidden behind the shelves that was near a window.

Oh, so that's why I couldn't see him.

"FYI, the doors were already opened when I got here!" I snapped. I was really getting tired of the way he was talking to me. "You could of closed the door when you came in"

"But you were the last person to walk through them." He replied.

"What? That doesn't even make any sense. Besides, what are you doing here anyway? I thought you had a meeting with Peter." I said as I crossed my arms over my chest.

"Reason number one. I didn't close them because I had a lot on my mind right now. I'm King of a great country and the ball is coming up so I still have to get ready. Reason number two. The meeting ended over an hour ago. Meetings don't last for the whole day, Ryder!" Edmund spat.

"My name is NOT Ryder. It's Ella. My last name is Ryder. I wish you wouldn't call me that!" I exclaimed, my voice getting louder and louder.

"Oh so what do you prefer? Missy?" He yelled too, stepping closer to me.

"Don't call me that name again or I will break you" I said through clenched teeth.

"Ha!" Edmund exclaimed "Break me? I would love to see you try! Besides, I think you're forgetting that you owe me a favor. I did save your life. I think I at least deserve a thank you." He smirked.

"Oh I'm sorry. Thank you SO much King Edmund the Just for rescuing a poor damsel in distress like me. Thank you for bringing me here to your castle and treating me like filth!" I yelled.

"That's because you are filth! You're annoying, rude and insufferable! When are you going to learn to have some respect for someone who is superior to you!" he shouted in my face.

Tears began filling my eyes as I felt the anger rising inside of me.

Flith! How dare he?

"You know what Edmund? I wish you died while being in Jadis's command. I wish Aslan never forgave you. I wish that you had died in battle knowing that you betrayed your family and that you will forever be a traitor to your brother and sister and to all of Narnia!" I spoke very harshly. I knew that I had struck his weak spot, and for some reason, that made me very glad. I ran out of the room, leaving behind a shocked and angry king.

Wow!! That was heated! Remember again! I wrote this when I was ten! I'm just posting it, so that's why it's so bad... XD
