Ella's POV

I slowly opened my eyes as I groaned at the pain ran through my head and my whole body. My arms ached and I had a splitting headache. After adjusting my eyes to the darkness in the room, I gasped. I was hanging from a hook. My arms were inbound in ropes which hung from the hook. My feet were barely touching the ground and ropes were wrapped around them. My back was against a rough, stone wall. There was also a gag over my mouth. I couldn't move my stiff body at all. I couldn't scream either. So there was no point in trying to escape from this dark place.

I looked around the tiny, dark room. There was a tiny window to the right of me. The window had some bars over it and the window had some moonlight shining through it. But that still didn't brighten up the small room very much. I knew just where I was. I was in a dungeon.

Then I remembered how I got here. I was running. Away from Edmund.

At the moment I hated him so much for his lies, but I still longed for him to come barging through the door and rescue me from this nightmare.

So I waited.

I felt like a pathetic, helpless damsel in distress, and I hated it. Well, in that case, where was my knight-in-shining-armor?

I waited in that room for what felt like decades. My arms ached SO much from hanging in that position for so long and my back was also sore. My mouth was also dry from being restrained with the gag. My tongue started to push the gag off of my mouth and soon it was hanging around my neck. I was so tired of doing that little act, that I so fell asleep from exhaustion.

When I woke up, the room was lit up with sunlight that poured through the window. My stomach growled from hunger. Edmund, please find me!

Suddenly, I heard footsteps come from the other side of the room. They were getting louder and louder. My optimistic personality made me beam with hope. Oh, how I longed to see Edmund, or any Narnian hero barge in through that door.

Finally, the small door swung open and my smile disappeared.

Edmund's POV

She was gone.

I just could not believe it.

Ella. Was. Gone.

It had been two whole days. And there still was no sign of Ella. Peter had sent out the best-of-the-best search parties to find Ella, but she still couldn't be found. Ingrid had disappeared too. But I didn't care about her.

I knew those green eyes. Ingrid was definitely not who she said she was. But at the moment, I didn't want to worry about that.

I just wanted to find Ella.

First, I just cried. For about a day I cried. I as upset about what happened with Ingrid and how Ella ran off. How she got taken before I could get to her. Now my eyes were all red. Then, I got angry. I was angry at Ella for running away. Angry at Ingrid for tricking me. And angry at myself for not letting her do it. Now, I was just determined. Determined to find Ella, no matter what. Peter refused to let me join any of the search parties. But that didn't stop me.

On the second night, I snuck out of the castle with Philip after everyone had gone to bed. I had already left a note for Peter, explaining why I had disappeared. I knew he would be really, really mad. But at the moment, I didn't care. Ella was so much more important than his anger.

I had no idea where I was going at first. I just started to search random parts of Narnia. Finally, I stopped at the river to give Philip a break. I thought about where all Jadin could have kept Ella. After much brain-busting, it finally clicked in me and I jumped up.

Of course, there was only one place Jadin could have used as a perfect hideout: Jadis's castle.

It was no wonder any of the search parties found Ella. The castle had been long forgotten about for the past 7 years.

But I knew.

I knew that was where Jadin would be keeping Ella. He knew none of us would ever visit that place ever again. But I was going to.

Hold on, Ella. I thought. I'm coming.
