Ella's POV

For the following week, Edmund and I had got closer. We no longer saw each other as arch-enemies. I mean, we still fought.

A lot.

But we didn't despise each other anymore. After sharing my past, I learned to trust Edmund. He promised that he wouldn't tell anyone about my past, and he kept his promise. We were all enjoying a wonderful dinner in the Great Hall when I heard a sickening squeal from the door. We all turned to find a skinny young lady walk towards the table.

She was like a stick with absolutely no curves. She wore a hot-pink gown that was sleeveless and with a lot of pink flowers around the waist. She had elbow high gloves which were...of course...hot pink and she even had three-inch high heels. She looked like a drag queen, but her face was very beautiful. She had plump, red lips and her nose was slim and long. Her eyelids were covered in an eyeshadow that was golden with glitter, but you could still see how bright her dark green eyes were. Overall, she was a gorgeous lady.

"Edmund!" she squealed.

I winced at how shrill her voice sounded. She jogged over to Edmund, who was sitting across the table from me with his mouth hung open.

"Ingrid!" He exclaimed. He tried to smile at her, but I noticed him cringe when she jumped into his lap and flung her arms around his neck, covering his face with kisses.

I laughed as I saw red lipstick stains on every inch of his face. Edmund tried to wipe them off but he had no luck doing that. Ingrid giggled and then licked her thumb and tried to wipe the stains off for him. That made me laugh even more.

Poor Ed, I thought.

Ingrid scowled at me and turned back to Edmund. "Who is she, Eddie-weddie?" She asked in a fake sweet voice. Edmund cringed at the name and I just bit back a laugh.

Seriously? Eddie-weddie? What kind of nickname was that? It was just like Lavender calling Ron, Won-Won.

"She's a friend, Ingrid. Now, would you please get off me?" Edmund asked. Ingrid got off of Edmund and stood next to him while making a sour face at me.

"Care to join us for dinner, Ingrid?" Lucy asked. I turned to her and raised my eyebrows. Did she have to be so kind all the time? I noticed that Edmund felt the same way as he gave Lucy the same look. Lucy just shrugged and kept smiling at Ingrid.

"No thanks. I already had my dinner. Besides, I'm on a diet." She replied.

"Do you need to be?" I mumbled, quickly to myself.

Ingrid glared daggers at me. "How dare you talk to me like that? Don't you know who I am? I am Ingrid Castila, Princess of Archenland and soon-to-be Edmund's wife!" She said in a very dramatic tone.

Edmund was taking a drink when, Ingrid said this and went she this, he nearly spit out his juice back into his cup. I just rolled my eyes at Ingrid. Drama queen, much.

"Ingrid, for the last time, I am not marrying you. You are nothing more than a....friend of mine and I intend to keep it that way." Edmund said firmly. I couldn't help but smirk at the look on Ingrid's face. It looked rejected, which was what Edmund was saying to her.

"You say that now, Eddie, but I know you love me dearly and I promise you, we will get married. Besides, aren't you happy that I came all the way here for your birthday? I would never miss my future husband's birthday. And that means that I will be here for two days!" Ingrid squealed.

I laughed and gave Edmund the 'good luck' look. He just glared at me with a 'shut up' look. Ingrid noticed our little exchange and glared at me...again. I just smirked at her and raised my eyebrows. I knew that she was jealous of my acquaintance with Edmund.

"Anyway, Eddie, you finish up. I'll be waiting in your bedroom." She said, as she kissed his cheek and winked at him before skipping away.

I just narrowed my eyes at her angrily. Did she have to be all, sappy? If that was the right word to use.

"Looks like somebody's jealous," I heard Lucy whisper next to me.

I turned and looked at her with a raised eyebrow. "Jealous? Me? Ha! I think you're mixing up jealousy and annoyance." I replied. She simply shrugged and grinned. As she looked away, I heard her murmur, "Whatever you say".

I glared at her. I was NOT jealous! There was no way! Then again, why did my heart get a sickening feeling when I saw that girl in Ed's arms, kissing him?

I shook my head, getting rid of all those confusing thoughts and told that I was NOT jealous of Ingrid. I mean, this was Edmund we were talking about. I didn't hate him anymore, but I still only saw him as a good friend. A really annoying...insufferable...charming...sweet friend.

Oh boy...my feelings are so mixed up.

Sometimes I can feel like Ella with my feelings...they're hard to understand at times! And also, I'm sorry that this chapter was so short :( But there will be a lot more to come!
