Ella's POV
The door swung open and my smile disappeared.
In front of me was the tallest man I had ever seen in my life. He was probably even taller than Hagrid from Harry Potter. He had to crouch to get inside the small cell. As he approached me, I noticed he had a small limp in his steps. He wore baggy robes, but still had the look of power and force. His face was covered in scars and his evil smile was crooked. He had a thick mustache and beard. He had broad shoulders and huge arms. Overall, he was freaky looking....
"Look who finally decided to wake up! You've been asleep for almost two days!" He spoke in a calm manner. I tried to speak but my mouth was to dry from dehydration. I licked my lips so I was able to talk.
"Who-who are y-you?" I stuttered, not from fear, but from the cold.
"My name is Goudvis. Perhaps you've heard of me?" He smiled.
My eyes widened....Goudvis? As in Jadin's sidekick?
Seeing the shock look on my face, he laughed. "So you have heard of me. Good. You're probably wondering why you're here. Well, you see, Master Jadin does not like to have competition. And you, my dear, are his competition. So, of course, he has to eliminate all of the competition, am I right?" He asked with sarcasm in his tone.
I just glared at him and kept my mouth shut. I was not going to answer him. After two seconds of silence, he turned red and struck me across the face...hard.
My head whipped to the side and I felt pain on my cheek and I also felt my neck pop.
Man, was he strong...
"Answer me, you insolent fool!" He yelled.
With tears in my eyes, I sniffed and turned my head back to him. I opened my mouth and he smiled, expecting a voice to come out from it. Instead, all he got was my spit in his eyes. I smirked. I was not going to give in and let him win over me.
He glared daggers at me before punching me in my stomach, knocking the air out of me. As I tried to regain my breath, he roughly grabbed my hair and twisting my neck, pulled my head upward, facing the ceiling.
"You think you're so clever, don't you? Being the "supposed" savior of Narnia? Well, you are nothing but filth. In fact, all of Narnia is filth. That is why it will burn in the hands of Master Jadin. And don't think just because you don't have Narnian blood in you, doesn't mean that nothing will happen to you. You will also die at the hands of Jadin, and so will your entire family. We will get our hands on your little family, and they will painfully die too. And there's nothing you can do about it."
Tears rolled down my cheeks at this thought...What if I did fail...Then everyone I ever loved will die....Lucy, Susan, Peter, Mr. Tumnus, my grandparents, mother...Edmund...
My head was violently shoved back against the wall. Goudvis smiled at me weirdly for a little while. I just kept my head straight and my chin high. Before the man could say anything else, the door swung open again.
This time, a woman came into the room. She had white hair and her skin was a pale white. Her jade-green eyes glared at me. She kept faded so I thought she might be a ghost.
"Hello dear," She said in a fake sweet voice. "I see you have met Goudvis." I didn't say a word. There was something familiar about this woman. But I didn't know what.
Goudivs bowed to the woman, "My lady."
"Yes, yes." That lady said as she waved her hand at him, telling him to rise "Has Master Jadin arrived yet?"
"No, my queen. He will be here soon"
The ice woman nodded and then looked back at me. "You must be, Ella. The girl that will 'save' Narnia. Well, I'm here to tell you, that you will not save Narnia. But you will help me and my brother destroy Narnia" She smirked.
"W-wait? Y-your Jadis? The White Witch?" I asked. The lady was starting to scare me.
Jadis laughed "Me?! The White Witch? That was years ago. But you! You are to be the next White Witch. I chose you because you are powerful and you have magic in your blood. That is why a chose you to be my heir. You will make a wonderful White Witch"
"I wouldn't" I replied "Because I shall NEVER become like you. I will NOT betray Narnia!"
Jadis just smiled "Oh, you will. I would love to stay and talk more, my dear, but I have to run. I have to make some more plans about what we are going to do about Narnia when it is destroyed. Goudvis?"
Goudvis bowed again to Jadis.
"Watch the girl," Jadis said and she stormed out of the cold, dark cell.
After a while, Goudvis came back up to me and reached up and ran an icy-cold finger down my cheek..."So pretty. Such beauty wasted on filth. I would kill you right now. But Master Jadin ordered me to keep you alive. He wants you to die at his hands. Until then, since I have to keep an eye on you. I can have a little fun."
I cringed at his words....Fun?
He slowly began to pull out a hot iron knife from a sheath on his hip. I began shaking with fear as I recalled my past experiences with hot iron rods. Like he could read my mind, Goudvis smiled. "I know what happened to you in your world when you were younger. What your father did to you. It hurt didn't it? Can you remember the pain?"
Yes.
"No? Well then. Maybe this will remind you."
Goudvis slowly started carved something into my left arm with the hot knife. I screamed in pain as I felt my skin tear and blood flow out.
Please. Stop. Please. Please stop the pain. I mentally begged as I screamed from the painful throbbing sting and burn that was on my arm. I felt the knife carve in one letter at a time.
Though I was in SO much pain, I could still make out what Goudvis was carving.

By the time he was done, my throat was dry from all the screaming and crying. He smiled cruelly at his piece of work
"I know all about you and the little King in Narnia. Isn't this what he called you no more than a month ago? Hmmm? Yes, we can see everything. And we saw how he yelled at you in the library, so long ago. You think just because he learned about your past, means he cares for you? No! Silly little girl. He still considers you nothing but filth!" He laughed.
"No! He doesn't. Not anymore." I whispered. There was no way Edmund could still think of me like that. We were friends now....weren't we? And Peter said he felt much so more for me?
"Silly girl. You think he loves you just because his brother told you so? Ha! He lies. Edmund hates you and he will always hate you. He will always see you as filth! That scar will serve as a reminder for the rest of your life as what he sees you as, and what you truly are!" He spat before slapping me hard across the face and stormed out of the room.
I wanted to break down and cry. I knew Goudvis was lying to me. Edmund would never do that to me. Then again, he did lie to me and kiss Ingrid.
At this point, I didn't even know who to believe. I wanted to curl up into a ball, but my arms were still being held on the hook. That made my arm hurt even worse.
Now that Goudvis was gone, I wanted to cry out for help.
But I didn't.
I knew it was hopeless. Will no one save me?
I'm sorry if anyone was triggered by this chapter!! But, to be honest, this stuff really does happen, but only in EXTREME measures, take mind! This part had to happen, but I hope you guys are still with me and enjoying the story! Comment and let me know!!
