Chapter 18: Jadin and Jadis

Jadis's POV

"How could you let this happen!" Jadin bellowed as he slapped Goudvis across the face once again. I smiled at this as I sat upon my cold, crystal throne that would soon no longer be mine. It would be Ella's. It was enjoyable to watch my brother's servant cower in fear of my brother's wrath.

"I'm so sorry, Master. I tried. I was so close to killing that stupid little King. But then...something happened." Goudvis trailed off in a soft low voice.

"What? I don't have all day, you twit! Tell me, now! What happened?" Jadin yelled.

"Aslan" Goudvis whispered.

My face paled as well as my younger brother's. I recalled that last time Aslan came to Narnia. Memories I didn't want to happen again.

"Aslan?" He repeated in shock.

"Yes, Master. The girl called out to him. It was a massive roar of thunder, Sir." Goudvis explained, "Aslan answered her call and saved her and her little King."

Jadin was in deep thought for a couple of seconds before breaking into an evil smile.

"Rally the followers and find the girl."

"Sir, are you going to kill her?"

"No. No, we can't do that. Since she is Jadis heir, we can't destroy her. The girl will help us destroy Narnia with her gifts. No. I...we need her alive. Only she can help us now."

"Help?" Jadin just smiled evilly at Goudvis's confused face and nodded. "Yes. Soon...we shall have a new addition to our army. Now go"

Goudvis left and Jadin turned back to me.

"You sure that plan will work?" He asked. Even though he was in charge of Goudvis and the army. I was in charge of him and he still feared me a little.

I nodded, smiling "Don't you worry little brother. Everything will come into place."
