Edmund's POV
15 minutes.
She was 15 minutes late.
This was our first training session. I had sent one of the castle's servants to send her a message to meet me at the training grounds at 8 o'clock. Sharp.
But did she listen? No.
I swear, everything about that girl annoys me. Because of her, my wonderful kingdom was in trouble. I wish she never even came here in the first place. But then again, I did find her in the woods ....and that song that I heard, yesterday sounded like I was supposed to hear it.
As all these thoughts ran through my head, I sensed someone approaching me from behind. I quickly whipped around and my jaw dropped. She was wearing a very thin, white tunic that was half-sleeved(designed for girls) and brown breeches, that fit her perfectly. She had her hair down and some short curls were around her face, which really made her beautiful chocolate brown eyes stand out even more and...wait...WHAT?
What the heck was I thinking? This was the stupid Ryder girl we were talking about. She was not beautiful. She was annoying and loathing.
I snapped out of my thoughts and tossed her a sword.

Ella's POV
"You're late, Ryder." He snapped and tossed me a sword as I walked up to him.
I scowled at him. That was a lovely morning greeting.
"Good morning to you too, Pevensie," I smirked. If he wanted to play the last name game with me, I could play too.
"Whatever. Okay, let's just get this over with. And let's just try to be civil. Got that?" He scowled.
I nodded my head and sighed. I was not the one with civility issues. Still, I would try.
We began with some stretching, before getting into basic hand motions and positions. For about an hour, he just showed me different ways to grip the sword. After a while, my arms felt like lead and I was panting hard. We didn't even use our legs and I was already exhausted!
"You're position is off. Your arms should be like this," He said before coming up behind me and placing his hands on my forearms and lowering them.
I could feel his breath on my neck and I shivered, slightly. He was really close to me. I had never been that physically close to any boy before. I could feel my face blushing as his hands stayed on my bare forearms. I turned my head to find his face just inches from mine. His eyes bearing into mine.
For a few seconds, we stayed just like that. Staring at each other. I cleared my throat awkwardly and mumbled a thank you. Clearing his throat too, he immediately let go and stepped away from me. I was a bit disappointed by the loss of his warmth.
Only a bit.
He went in front of me again and we continued our training. But all throughout the training, I couldn't take my mind off how he held me close and the way that he gazed at me. His deep brown eyes, his arms around mine in such a gentle yet firm way. His handsome face inches from mine...wait...WHAT?
What on earth was I thinking? This was stupid Edmund we were talking about. He was not handsome. He was annoying, rude and called you filth.
I quickly snapped out of my trance as I heard him say something about our first training session being over, and that it went pretty well. We both nodded at each other and left in opposite directions.
I hoped that the next training lesson wouldn't be as uncomfortable as this one.
Oh, things are getting interesting now, aren't they? XD Haha!! Looks like you guys must wait until next time to find out what happens!
