"Is she going to be ok, that's all I care about." Jamie asked pycelle, frantically.

"I am not sure, ser Jamie, she sustained very serious injuries, the blade perforated her stomach." He replied in his booming voice.

"Just please do what you can, whatever it takes." Jamie sat down again beside the bed where lana was sleeping. When she had collapsed, Jamie had put her on the back of his horse and rode like mad to get her to a maester. Jamie had been so terrified of her dying that he checked her pulse every two minutes. He wouldn't let her die, he just wouldn't.

Lana looked so perfect laying there on the bed. Her long, silky hair was spread around the pillow, her skin had gone from deathly white to a more healthy tone, even her lips looked full and soft. The lips he had kissed so many times.

Jamie clutched her hand, silently praying for her to come back to him. After all he loved her.

Lana could feel him holding her hand, she could hear his sweet voice but she couldn't open her eyes to look at him. It was like being in a constant dream. The pain engulfed her body like nothing ever had before. She wanted to cry out, to ask for milk of the poppy, anything, but she couldn't. As each moment went on lana prayed that she could find the strength to wake up.

Jamie went to Lana's bedside everyday, he had to be careful of who saw him. If Cersei new that Ned Starks daughter was alive and in her castle she would surely make sure that lana never would wake up. The only people that knew of her being at the castle were Pycelle, Tyrion, Littlefinger and Varys. He couldn't be sure that he trusted any of them completely but it was a chance he would have to take.

Everyday, Jamie watched as Pycelle changed the dressing on Lana's wound and replaced the stitched. It wasn't the most ghastly wound he had ever seen but it was certainly out of place on Lana's perfect, delicate body.

"She's just as beautiful as when I sent her home." Littlefinger came in when Jamie was deep in thought.

He turned to face him, he had never trusted Littlefinger but he knew that for some reason he liked lana.

"Yes she is." He replied looking at her beautiful features.

"Does cersai know she is here." He asked stepping forward to see lana.

"Do you think we would still be here if she did." Jamie asked, looking at him.

"She's waking up." Littlefinger suddenly exclaimed looking at lana, Jamie did the same, leaning in and stroking her smooth forehead.

"Lana, I'm here, I'm here."

"Jamie." Lana murmured, her eyes flickered open ever so slightly.

"Go get Pycelle." Jamie ordered Littlefinger and he took of running.

"I knew you would make it, I knew it."

Lana hurt everywhere, especially her stomach, she felt like a human inferno.

"Let me see her." Pycelle practically pushed Jamie out of the way and peeled back the bed sheets.

"How are you feeling lady stark?" He asked, undoing the bandages.

"It hurts, Jamie it hurts." She moaned tossing and turning,

"It's ok lana, Pycelle for gods sake help her, give her something for the pain." His temper was rising.

"You heard him Pycelle." Littlefinger echoed beside him.

"After I change theese badges I will give her pain relief." His hands were going as fast as they could. When he had changed it he went over to his shelf and picked up a large, purple bottle full with a white coloured liquid inside. He poured out a small amount into a cup.

"Here, drink this." He put the cup to her mouth and she gulped it down in appreciation.

"How's that." He asked handing the bottle to Jamie.

Lana didn't reply, he eyes began to close again as she drifted off to sleep.

When lana woke she felt like a new woman. The pain had got better and she no longer had a temperature. Jamie had fallen asleep beside her, his hand was entwined with hers.

As soon as she moved he woke up, rubbing his eyes.

"Lana, how do you feel, are you in pain?" He asked frantically.

"I'm fine, where am I?" She was still delirious.

"The red keep, I bought you here to get you better."

"Did the queen have my father killed?" She asked suddenly, tears appeared in her eyes.

"Yes." Was all he could say, he lowered his eyes.

"If she knows I'm here she will want me dead too." She seemed scared now.

"No, I will not let her hurt you, I promise you." He said seriously.

"She does what she wants Jamie, she is the queen."

"I will talk to her, I'll find a way, or I will get you out of her when you are better. All I want now is for you to get better ok." He stroked her hair softly.

"So what, do you love me again now." She asked not harshly

"I always did, now sleep." He kissed her head and she closed her eyes.
