The day of the wedding was absolute chaos. Maids, servants and cooks rushed around getting the food, decorations, and wedding costumes ready. Lana stayed in her room getting ready, she didn't really want to go but there was no way around it. Once lana had done her hair and make up and was ready to leave there was a knock at her door.
"Come in." She called fixing the final pin in her hair. Cersei opened the door, she looked beautiful in her usual lannister colours with a low neck showing her creamy white skin.
"Lana, I have a gift for you." Cersei had a bag in her hand, lana didn't know what it was.
"Now I saw this and I knew you would have to have it." She said excitedly, opening the bag for lana to see.
"Oh my." Lana was shocked when she saw it, inside the bag was a crimson and good dress, the lannister colours.
"Don't you like it?" Cersei asked.
"Of course I do, it's just I don't want to wear the same as you, the mother of the groom should stand out." Lana tried to back track, was Cersei trying to make lana one of them. How could lana wear the colours of her fathers killers.
"Nonsense, you will look great, you are practically one of us now anyway." Cerise had a wicked gleam in her eye.
"I am aren't i, I bet the dress will look lovely." Lana grabbed the dress, kissed her on the cheek and ran into the bathroom to put it on.
"See you at the ceremony." Cersei called and left the room.
Lana waited until she had gone to start crying. All her emotions came out of her, she felt like a weight had been lifted from her shoulders.
Lana slipped the dress on and stared at herself in the mirror. It was true, she may as well change her name to lannister now, she looked like one. She even acted like one sometimes.
"I now pronounce you man and wife, you are one from this day until your last day." Lana watched as Joffrey draped his lannister cloak around Marjory's narrow shoulders. She couldn't help feeling sorry for her marring a beast like him.
Lana could see Cersei standing with her father, her eyes looked as if they could kill Marjory any second. Cersei always knew this day would come, when a younger and prettier queen would replace her.
Lana looked at Jamie out of the corner of her eye, he stood near Joffrey, protectively. After all he was his son. When the vows were said lana headed back to her room to take her medicine given to her by Pycelle. After that, Littlefinger came to her door to escort her to the ball, after the ball would be a huge feast.
The ball was a whirlwind of colours that's made Lana's head spin.
She had never seen such extravagance the while time she has been in the capital. There was a huge table with the richest food she had ever seen and another with gallons of wine. People brushed past her in their fine clothes and jewels. Jamie was no where to be seen or Cersei.
"Remind me again why I am even here." Petyr baylish asked holding onto Lana's arm and leading her through the crowd.
"Because you owe me and it will do you good to have some company, I know a man like you can get awfully lonely sometimes."
Littlefinger smiled and continued to lead lana further into the crowd where nobody was. One there he pulled her to the side.
"I know what you are doing." He grinned, his eyes gleamed.
"Oh do you." Lana toyed with him
"You are trying to make Jamie jealous, I know you lana." He said quietly making sure nobody heard
"And I know you too. I know that you would never have agreed to come if you didn't want something too." Lana stared at him trying to play him.
He laughed again and strokes his pointy beard.
"Your right, I do want something." He replied
"Then let's just carry on doing what we are doing." Lana said
"Your not going to ask me what I want."
"No."
"May I ask why." Lana could see him getting more interested by the second.
"Because I already know my lord." Lana mocked, smiling.
"So what do I want." Littlefinger quizzed, grinning.
"Shhhh." Lana put her delicate finger to her lips and began to walk off back into the crowd.
After a long night dancing with Littlefinger and other men at the ball, lana made her way back to her room with lord baylish. Lana didn't think she could face the humongous feast so she left early.
"So how was your night, manage to con anyone into bedding you." Lana asked light heartedly.
"Oh there's no need to con, one look upon this face and the wenches go wild." He replied with his trademark grin.
Lana laughed and gripped his arm tighter, there was something about him that always made her laugh.
As they turned the corner to her room lana was surprised to see Jamie waiting outside.
He was wearing his usual smock and trousers and his hair shone even in candle light.
"Ser Jamie, what a surprise to see you here." He said sarcastically
"Lord baylish, lana." He looked her in the eye.
"I will leave you two alone then." Littlefinger kissed Lana's cheek and fled.
"I didn't see you at the ball." Lana commented, unlocking the door to let them in.
"I was watching the ball, cersei wanted me to spy for her." He said bolting the door bolting the door behind him.
"On who?"
"Your friend Littlefinger." He replied harshly
"What?" Lana asked confused now.
"She has reason to believe he is betraying her and she wants me to trace his every move."
"Littlefinger is always playing a game, he's Littlefinger." Cersei knew what he was like.
"I'm just telling you what she said." He held his hands up to show his innocence in the matter.
"Why doesn't she trust him, she must have told you something." Lana asked accusingly, she knew how close he was to his sister.
"She didn't say, Cersei is being very secretive about the whole matter." He said.
"But she trusts you, why hasn't she told you, do u think she suspects you and I." Lana couldn't figure out why cersai was suddenly keeping things from her twin brother.
"Shhhh." Jamie moved toward lana and stroked her pale cheek.
"She doesn't suspect anything, Cersei is cersai and she can change like the weather but I promise I will never let her hurt you." He kissed her lightly on the forehead.
"And can you promise the same for Littlefinger." He had taken her in when she had nothing, fed her, clothed her, protected her and comforted her. She would never let him be harmed.
Jamie sighed, lana knew there was a strange jealousy between Jamie and lord baylish.
"I will try but I want you to promise me to keep away from him as much as possible, I can't have cersai thinking you are plotting with him."
"Ok." Lana said sadly, she had grown to love lord baylish, he was like the father she lost too early.
He kissed her again on her forehead, just pleased that she was safe and in his arms.
