It's 5am. There's no way in hell I'm getting to sleep again after that dream. No fucking way.
I sit up and turn a light on, searching for my phone. I spot it on my bedside table and begin typing, my hands shaking.
'Hey, u up?'
I send it to Brendon. Who else am I supposed to text at 5 o'clock in the morning? I get a reply a few minutes later.
'i am now'
Fuck.
'Sorry, did i wake u?'
'nah its fine. what's up?'
'Nightmare'
'u good?'
'Better now. Anyway, sorry 4 waking u up u should go back to sleep'
'youre probably right, ive got a show later haha'
'Nite then'
'night'~~~~~
I don't manage to get back to sleep. I lie staring at my ceiling for half an hour before getting up and having a glass (maybe three) of whiskey.
I check the clock again. 8am. Wow I've been awake for hours.
That dream really screwed me over, as I was thinking about it the whole time I'd been awake.
How could she? She's happy now, with Pete, whereas I'm still waking up at 5 o'clock in the fucking morning thinking about her.
I hate her.
With every inch of my being.
I hope Pete leaves her.
I hope she dies.
I miss her.~~~~~
Spencer comes round a while later. I'm desperate to talk to him, desperate to tell him about the dream. He'd know what it meant.
Instead he tells me about Linda. How they went out to a bar, but she forgot her ID and they both ended up ordering Capri Suns.
I laugh because it's funny. Spencer notices my mood change.
"You seem to be doing alot better, Ry," he notes.
I shrug.
"Do you wanna come out with me and Jon tonight?"
Damn, tonight's Brendon's show.
I shake my head.
"What, why not?"
Idiot. Like I'm gonna reply. I just shrug again.
"Fine," he sighs, "I've got to get back to the shop. Bye."
I wave, slightly sadly. I think Spence is kinda getting tired of my silence. Oh well, he'll have to deal with it.
I hear the door close behind him and I am alone once again.
I feel like I'm alone alot nowadays.~~~~~
Frank and Gerard arrive at my house around 8ish, and thank God they did because I was getting restless.
"Hey Ryan!" Smiles Gee as I open the door.
"Oh, hey guys. How'd you know my address?" I ask, confused.
"Brendon it to us," replies Frank. This doesn't help me, however.
"But Bren's never been to my house."
"Oh yeah, he said a guy called Spencer gave it to him he also said that Spencer's sorry about storming out earlier...?" Explains Gerard.
Oh, well at least that's all cleared up now.
"Shall we go?" Frank suggests and we nod.~~~~~
The car ride is short but silent. Nobody says a word. Thankfully, we arrive at the venue in under ten minutes.
The place is massive. It's a wonder I've never been here, or even seen it before, seeing as its so close and so huge.
The inside is even cooler, the walls pitch black and the floors red.
I'm surprised at how many people were there, considering this was the Whiskey's debut- that's pretty impressive if I'm honest. Gerard must be able to read minds becausehe turns and starts talking to me.
"Cool how many people there are already, right?"
"Yeah, definately," I grin.
We walk closer to the stage, pushing through the crowd until we are pressed up against it.
The band walk on, Brendon first, then three other men who I don't recognise.
The crowd erupts behind me. I think I recognise one screaming girl's voice in particular.
"PETE!!" She screeches.
Pete? Pete, Pete?
"Good evening, Vegas!" Brendon grins into the mic.
The crowd cheers again.
I've already forgotten about the voice. This show is gonna be amazing.~~~~~
{Im honestly trying my best to write regularly but im so not motivated. I think i might probs could have done better with this chapter tbh. Comment if u liked it it would really make my day.
