"Every child is to come inside the building at this moment. No child is allowed out even if the parent of the child is waiting for she or he." Phil said over the microphone.
As children walked into the building I sent my Unc a text letting him know what was going on. He said he would just lock up for the night and to find Madison. I texted the sibling group chat we all had letting them know what was up as well.

Trav: fuck ya mean Madison missing?
Melly B: Aug this ain't no time to be playing
Mally Mal: Where the hell she at?

I looked up from my phone to see if any of the kids was Madison. When I saw none of them was I felt like my life was over. For the first time in I was actually able to call Nadia.
Ignoring my siblings texting me nonstop, I went to Nadia's contact.
"Hello?" She sounded as if she had just woke up.
"Nadia." I said as my voice began to crack.
"August what's wrong? Are you crying?" I heard her shift around.
"They lost my baybeh ma." Was the only thing I could actually get out.
"What? August what's going on?" I heard her voice become distant, so she was possibly getting dressed.
"The fuckin' rec center lost Madison! They let her go somewhere wit' some fuckin' stranga' bruh." I slammed my fist into one of the stalls in the bathroom.
"Oh my God August I'm on my way." She said then hung up.
I looked in the bathroom mirror wondering who the fuck would do this. Was it somebody I knew or somebody that just take people kids? Whoever did this shit is sick and once I figure out who the fuck it is they dead.
I stayed in the bathroom until I heard people out in the main entrance screaming at each other. I walked out the bathroom to see Phil, his people, and Nadia going at it.
"Get the fuck off of me!" Nadia swung on one of his people.
"We have never seen you before ma'am." Phil said. "Let up Phil she's wit' me." I walked over.
"Right so get off." She rolled away from one of the workers she had punched. "August have y'all found her?"
I shook my head. She grabbed my face in her hands and bit her lip. "It's okay though we're gonna find her. And imma beat all hell out of whoever took our baby." She said which showed me that it was okay with starting to grow affection towards her.
Nadia saying that showed me that she was never gonna leave. This woman is definitely different then all the other and I'd be damned if I lost her especially for Madison's sake.
"Where was the last place you guys saw her?" She asked as she grabbed my hand and led me over to Phil.
"She was outside in her normal corner playing with her chalk." One of the workers said.
"When did you take your eyes off of her for someone to take her." She continued to interrogate the worker. "When another child came up to me bleeding, I went inside to get a band aid."
"Then what happened?"
"I came back out cleaned him and looked around and no longer saw Madison." The girl whispered the last part. "So why the fuck didn't you say something to Phil?" Nadia yelled in the girl's face. I grabbed her back away from the girl.
"Because I just thought she went somewhere else to play with some other kids." The girl began to cry.
I pulled Nadia away from the girl before she could ask her anymore questions. "People are so clueless August, that's why I don't want one of my children growing up in this world." She shook her head.
"August she's right hea'!" I heard Phil shout. I flew to the front door with Nadia right behind me.
"Daddy!" She came up to me. "Baybeh, Where was ya at?" I picked her up.
"Somebody took me to get some candy." She showed me the suckers. "Who took you baby girl?" Nadia asked.
"Some lady, she said she worked hea' and Mr.P said I could go wit' ha." I looked up at Phil about to leap at him.
"Yo what the fuck? You ain't even asked who the fuck it was? When a child is hea' they supposed to stay hea!"
"My fault Aug I thought it was one of the newer counselors."
"You so lucky my daughta and otha people kids hea' cause if they wasn't I would've beat ya ass blue."
"Man my fault Aug, I aint mean to bro. Ya know I think of Madison as my niece I wouldn't let nothin' happen to ha."
"Don't expect to see ha no mo' Phil!" I shook my head picking Madison up and grabbing Nadia's hand. "I gave this rec center my trust. I let y'all take care of my kid dat ya fuckin los'! How the fuck ya lose a whole kid?" I said causing a scene.
My yelling caused Madison to start crying.
"You lost a child?" I heard other parents saying. Some even said their child wasn't gonna be coming back too and I don't blame them.
"Shh baybeh it's okay, you wit' daddy now. I got ya mama." I rocked her and Nadia back and forth as we sat in the back seat of my car.
"I swear ta God next motha' fucka dat do this shit again gone be dead." I said as tears came down my face.
"I swear ta God."
